After meeting in Ulm we decided we should try doing something together, so I took the Walhallian music by OL for a remix. The driving arpeggio is done with help of the MIDI-In on my tiny Yamaha CS-01 (thanks, Jacob Korn for installing the kit). Wokosoma (also the singer) did the fabulous stop-motion video you can watch by following the link:

At just under eight minutes the intriguingly named Zillas on Acid Ultramodern Heartbreaker mix comes in at around 110 bpm, kicking off like a pitched down long lost track off Spooky’s seminal 93 album, Gargantuan. Then at the 1.45 mark all hell breaks loose, a swirling throbbing acid line filters in and grabs you by the scruff of the neck, taking you on a hedonistic squelching trip until finally letting go, just when you’re begging for more in the final minute of the track. 

Your trip is intermittently interrupted by a wigged out vox sample ‘I’m Sorry’ like almost apologising for messing with your head in its peaked out state.

The drum track provides a backdrop to the acid lead, keeping you in check with rolling rides, shuffling snares and a steady kick. 

This monster mix of Love Interlude is out today on digital release.
