"We have been working on this stacked twenty seven track compilation since just after the war broke out. This VA blends many styles of electronic music and we hope you discover some new artists and sounds that tickle your ears along the way. 
Ukraine has been such an important part of the Wex journey. 
With numerous parties in Ukraine and various releases from Ukrainians artists, we watched with heavy hearts as the country became a war zone. We hope to contribute and help, even if it will be just a little, with the support of our fans and the underground community. We will be donating directly to our friends who are currently living in Kyiv and have been helping their communities stay as safe and healthy as possible. 
A big thank you to all the artists and engineers involved in helping the release come together and supporting our attempt to help those in needs. You can see some of them tagged in the post b it we were only able to tag a maximum of 20. You can stream and purchase the compilation via our bandcamp. 
It goes without saying how much pain and suffering goes on around the world on a daily basis. No country and no person deserves to live in fear and experience the atrocities these wars bring.

The 5 tracks strong "Cold Flower (full bloom) EP" is representing and embodying Shiver’s vision and purpose: to bundle, showcase and celebrate the diversity within electronic music. 

The record itself moves between techno, house, breaks and trance. It unifies its tracks by the idea that, in some way or another, they stand in correlation to blooming flowers that are the source of inspiration for the EP’s name and assets. The latter was designed by design studio “(soft)cover” who visualized the sounds via an unique humanized algorithmic artwork.

The record’s A-side is an homage to Japan’s cherry blossom trees. The dreamy yet intense sounds of “Cold Flower” by Melbourne-based DJ Cris P catapult its listeners right into the enlightening atmosphere of the sweet-scenting and colorful pedals.

Up next, Marginal Returns is happy to finally unveil Gwenan’s debut EP. Already familiar to many via her DJ sets at various notable events over the past years - from festival main-stage techno to backroom boutique ambient - 2023 finally raises the curtain on Gwenan’s studio output. 
 
Activation Energy presents an elegant, particular and personable take on rhythmic electronic music, taking in A1’s downtempo, dub shrouded ‘Rhythm Delay’, the sneakily effective plucked lilt of A2 ‘Foundation’, the contemplative, emotive glide of B1 ‘Control Change’ and B2 ‘Attention Movement’s brooding syncopation.

It’s been nearly 2 years since our last reissue comp, so we’re pleased to announce SHRR06: Seven Hills Presents Governed By Rhythm 94 – 97!

We’re taking another wild excursion into the world of Andy Jones, the mastermind behind Precise Daily Rhythm, a label we reissued back in 2020. Governed By Rhythm was an outlet for Andy’s faster, trancier dance tracks, as opposed to the grooving techno and tech house of PDR.

SHRR06 comprises three never before heard tracks on Disc 1, as well as four from the original label on Disc 2. Additions to the original music are; ANWAM, a 16 minute long acid ambient wormhole, Kik The Can, a pumping bassline driven piece of tech trance, and the early 90’s Italian-style Bedroom.

Opening ceremonies commence with close associates DJ Sneak and Tripmastaz, who in recent years have released collaborative releases as RareTwo Inc. Here they don their original monikers and develop the PGDD concept into a clever ride through twisted filter disco and tech house territories. Next up is the infamous Raum...Musik boss Dorian Paic who constructs a psychedelic fun house of ultra bouncy bass, irreverent percussion and chopped up acid. J Gabriel provides the next logical step into deeper darker waters, revisiting his project with an edgy take utilizing the original bassline and percussion motifs. Taking a turn into a beauteous conception from Sascha Dive, we are massaged with layers of synth organ and subtle congas that provide an epic almost larger than life world of dance floor bliss. Included in the package is an alternate J Gabriel mix as well as re-releases from the original EP, a dubby heavyweight Delano Smith remix, and Rick Wade's incredible rendition of "Ritual".
