Jeronimo Watson's latest self-released album, 'Surfacing,' delivers 7 brooding minimal cuts intended for the Fall season. This album is reminiscent of Watson's 2021 album, 'Buddy,' which explored a similar Berlin-inspired, dark, dystopian aesthetic. 'Surfacing' features some of Jeronimo Watson's most cutting-edge productions to date, and affirms that minimal grooves are his forte.

Samuele Defendi and Giovanni Basile aka Smoud Beats were born in 1997 in south Italy. Since they were children they were always in strong contact with the music, furthermore during their teenage their passion takes over. They stand out with their drum rhythms and hypnotic synths, constantly looking for new sounds, with strong UK Garage,Acid House,Minimal and many more influences. In October 2017 they started their own self-titled label Smoud Traxx, having success from the first releases in the last two years had the opportunity to perform in the entire Italy from North to South.
Becoming part of the famous group, Buongiorno Classic, in summer 2018, where they play regularly their sounds.

To mark the 10th release on the Zeitnot imprint we've invited our very special friend Nick Gynn. For this milestone occasion Nick's prepared his longest play yet, 6 stellar tracks ranging through various flavours of deep and warped dance floor sounds.

On the A side AAA shows some love to the golden era of IDM with its B12-esque synth lines, and a growling grooving bass patch. Similarly weighty dance floor bomb Dynamic Traces has a mind-warping atmosphere, and a catchier hook than your favourite guilty pleasure.

Lose yourself in the gripping melancholy of Lourd, with more squelchy IDM-inflections, and practically dripping in nostalgia. Swap plates to the C side to hear expert examples of deep and driven electro Pheonix and Rokit, before gracefully coming to rest amongst the clouds in the arpeggiatted symphonies of A = 432 (Hz).

Two worlds collide in number nine from OPIA Records as they welcome on board Orbital London maestro Jack Michael, and BODY MVMT ambassador, Robert James for the ‘Salt & Shake’ EP. The UK pair join forces for two collaboration tracks, receiving remixes from two of Uruguay’s finest, Michelle and Fede Lijtmaer. 

Opener ‘Pleasure Beach’ is a dynamic dance floor assault, subtly organ led through a storm of rough and ready sounds, a familiar energy from the OPIA label, pushing club ready material in a discerning fashion. Providing her ‘Pepsi Max Mix’ is live performer, and label affiliate Michelle. A slightly more progressive take on the original, ready to make an impact. 

With more snap than a Paul Hollywood shortbread is the B1 ‘Great British Break Off’. A rollercoaster of intensity, intelligently arranged by the dynamite duo. Clean broken drums complimenting the sub heavy bass. Delivering the final track of the EP is Fede Lijtmaer remixing the B1. A classy outing from the South American, a spiralling trip through beeps and bleeps.
