In anticipation of things to come, Delimit presents The Prologue EP: a collection of tracks that show off a vision of relentless drum & bass, created by DJ Hidden and Neks.

This EP consists of four heavy hitters: The Fifth Element kicks off this release with heavy bass sounds and pounding beats, inspired by the movie with the same name. At Dawn, the second track on this release keeps things heavy, interchanged with playful glitches and scratches. The collaboration with Coman Dante, entitled The Unknown, could be considered a "skull roller" - not entirely skullstep, not entirely roller but a nice hybrid. Delimit closes the EP with Cross Over, an eclectic track with a low key, some crazy stabs, and a tearing reece in the middle.

This precursor gives you a glimpse of the fresh take on hard drum & bass Delimit plans to continue with their album, which is already in the making. Delimit's music is bound to rip those subwoofers to shreds, blow off some roofs and explode plenty of brains... and there is nothing you can do to stop them.

Towering above them, the planetary shards of the blast site splayed open like broken petals, vast in scale and overwhelming in the destruction they represented. They looked on in quiet awe as the now separated segment of the planet spun on the edge of the gravity horizon, the last remnants of atmosphere clinging to its rugged shape tenuously. Joanna Syze: a name synonymous within the darker, moodier realms of drum and bass. No stranger to the music industry, with a DJ career and back catalogue spanning close to twenty years, Syze is renowned throughout the US & Europe for being one of the second wave of female artists –following on from the likes of DJ Rap, Kemistry & Storm etc., to break through not only as a DJ, but a highly competent producer, vocalist and businesswoman.

After a string of successful releases and collaborations throughout the noughties - including her unforgettable vocals on the seminal 'No Evil' by Kryptic Minds & Leon Switch, Syze shifted her focus to recording her debut LP for OHM Resistance - Rodina, which fittingly translates to “homeland” in Bulgarian and is Joanna's birthplace; a place entrenched into every fibre of her being and somewhere consistently referenced in many of her lyrics and work.

Fast forward to early 2016: after a five year hiatus to focus on her ongoing health issues, Joanna decided to begin working on her sophomore album –Surrender, another 17 track project but this time for Othercide Recordings. There are many familiar artist features on this album from both seasoned drum and bass veterans, right through to collaborations with the new breed of producers. The album includes the likes of Chris.SU, Akov, Barbarix, Volatile Cycle, Zardonic, Redpill & The Sect to name but a few – all laying down their own unique styles and identities. However, the feel & sound of Surrender remains unmistakably Syze throughout: moody, melancholy, instantly encapsulating with a heavy nod to the early/mid 2000's era of dark reese's and hypnotizing melodies that inspired her so much.

AGE OF ANGER continues this trend, bringing their decisively hard edged crossbreed sound to OTHERCIDE RECORDS for a powerful debut on the label.

DKD opens the EP with utmost ferocity, screaming praises of the double kick drum that provides the basis for the maelstrom of auditory energy surrounding the charge of its relentless bassline pattern. DELIMIT then joins SHADOW SECT for JAILBREAKER, which contrasts the dramatic flair of its coursing chorals with the unrestrained auditory assault of its endless percussive barrage. DAMAGE CONTROL features additional collaboration from GANCHER & RUIN as it closes the EP with a driving hardcore drumbeat interspersed with breakbeat flourishes and the warped wiles of a bassline wrapt between its impacts.

Shadow Sect & Gancher & Ruin - Damage Control

SINISTER SOULS returns to OTHERCIDE RECORDINGS for his latest EP “PLEASURE OF
PAIN”, which follows a selection of their recent releases across labels including PRSPCT
Recordings, Mindocracy Recordings, and their 2019 single on OTHERCIDE “Spider//Hatred” as
part of an increasingly intense torrent of output from the longtime crossbreed and bass music
veteran. Building on such sturdy foundations, PLEASURE OF PAIN finds ample room to
continue to display the signature SINISTER SOULS sound, standing as a decisive statement of
intent as SINISTER SOUL’s first release of the new year.
PLEASURE OF PAIN sweeps into being on the electrified basslines and cinematic chords of its
title track, which surges forth from a subdued atmosphere to provide a dynamic entrance for the
EP’s sonic character. EAT BRAINS then follows with a set of distorted kickdrums and arpeggios
that seem to rise and fall endlessly between the respective portions of its tense breakdowns and
frenzied main sections.100 LIVES features collaboration with MC KRYPTOMEDIC, who delivers
a dense deluge of lyricism atop a track equally dense with percussive elements and metallic
timbres that ripple throughout the track with unrestrained kinetic potential. FLAWLESS closes
the EP as a combination of its myriad elements, combining the rapid arpeggios of EAT BRAINS,
the cinematic flair of PLEASURE OF PAIN & the raw energy of 100 LIVES for the creation of an
audio sequence that does well to live up to the lofty goal suggested by its name.
With PLEASURE OF PAIN, SINISTER SOULS marks his entrance into the new year on
OTHERCIDE RECORDINGS with an EP filled to the brim with destructive sonic power,

Katharsys is a name already firmly etched into the Othercide
annals, having released his widely received 'Metallicity' LP back in 2016. Fast forward to 2020 and it's time to fire up the reactors with a slew of new remixes spread over four speaker busting EP's! These tracks will span the genres of Drum & Bass and Hardcore, with the recent competition winners being included on Volume 2 and Volume 4.

First up, Bosnian native and production savant, Billain, takes aim at 'Psychosis VIP'. Eerie, industrial pads pave the way to a system thumping drop, executed with the engineering precision that has become the hallmark of any Billain release. Old skool drum edits, cool synths and enough energy to fuel a rocket, this track has it all.

Next stop, Berlin! Current Value: a man renowned for his rich, deep back catalogue and incredible production skills, both of which being the envy of many. Already a staple in the Othercide camp, Tim returns and dials things up to 11 with his blistering remix of 'Slope'. Everything you'd expect from a CV track with his trademark drums and searing blines; enough to tear a whole in the spacetime continuum.

Another member of the Othercide family, Disprove, makes a welcome return, this time to take his hand to 'Magnitude', and he does so in outstanding fashion! Doomesque intro soundscapes and a drop that
firmly puts the funk into Neuro. Sexy filter work and edits throughout keep the listeners interests firmly piqued. 

And finally, we head over to the Netherlands where scene stalwart and Othercide Records compadre, Sinister Souls takes 'Galactic Subduction' to a whole other level. Razor sharp intro FX, complete with searing leads gives way to a militant signature Sinister Souls drop. Aimed squarely at the Neuro gang, this one is guaranteed to ignite any dance floor.
