STROBCORE returns to OTHERCIDE RECORDS to present his CROSSCURRENT EP, delivering four furious slices of industrial hardcore to brutal effect. A veteran producer known for the often eccentric character of his creations, STROBCORE’s skills have carried his releases to labels such as Industrial Strength, Nekrolog1k, Footworxx, and more. After making his OTHERCIDE RECORDS debut at the beginning of the year with the “Distortion of Reality” EP, STROBCORE now returns to the label with a new set of hardcore selections for the CROSSCURRENT EP.

RIPGID opens the EP as an exercise in rising intensity, growing from its inauspicious origins amongst soft bells into a selection of funk fueled hardcore with a unique aspect of energetic levity. Speaking to the driving philosophy of the ep is SLOWLY BUT SURELY, which sets the overdriven tonalities and shuffling rhythms of its percussion amongst an atmosphere of mystical pitchbent vocals in a decisive statement of intent. THE BEAST follows next with a sheer display of dynamic force via its devastating kickdrum as a menagerie of roaring synths and animalistic samples cry out in its wake. CROSSCURRENT then marks the EP’s end with a set of syncopated percussive rhythms, which punctuate the void created by its monolithic kickdrum with snares, vocal samples, and distorted glitches alike.

With CROSSCURRENT, STROBCORE returns to OTHERCIDE RECORDINGS to display a portion of his hardcore philosophy with four tracks that display his deft production within the industrial realm.
