Daniel Hokum is back on the “It's Good To Be A Tree” record label with a magical organic house release that has jazz undertones and beautifully sung vocals.

This is the third time that Daniel Hokum has featured on “It's Good To Be A Tree” after previously contributing a track to two of the imprint's compilations, but this time he is back with a solo release. He is a skilled musician that combines intricate musicality with electronic music production to create spellbinding tracks that are awe-inspiring.

In addition to his previous contributions to It's Good To Be A Tree, Daniel Hokum has also released his music via other respected record labels including MONADA, Underyourskin Records, • kosa •, LNDKHN and Serafin Audio.

DJ/Sound Engineer Sam Zenn, is a spirited artist who has proven his dedication to his craft, through his relentless pursuit to provide music lovers with his enlightening sound.
Cutting his teeth in Toronto’s underground music scene in the late 90’s, SAM ZENN's career sprung forth when he became a resident DJ at one of North America’s hottest and highly acclaimed afterhour clubs, Gorg-O-Mish (Vancouver), in 2011. Effortlessly exposing Canada’s west coast to the underground techy/minimal sounds of the east coast, SAM instantly gained recognition in the scene.
After 50 remarkable shows in Vancouver in the short and successful time frame of 2 years, SAM ZENN returned to Toronto’s underground music playground in 2012 to sustain his need to broaden his career horizons. He prides himself on auspicious opportunities that led to him to reveal his talent at some of Toronto’s hottest venues, such as Nest, Parlour, Acid Lounge (inside the legendary Guvernment), Sunnyside Pavilion, and the world renowned and very loved, Footwork..

This mix has the "Zenn" signature all over it and we are excited to share it with you all. Enjoy!

As summer slows its pace, the cosmic energy invites us into a deeper state of reflection. Thus, we were thrilled when Toronto artist Sam Zenn approached us with the idea to create an exclusive ambient set.

“Life can be very challenging at times,” he explained. “It’s great to have a chill and uplifting sound to lay back, relax and/or meditate with, especially since nothing connects stronger with our true inner beings other than music… food for the soul!”

Sam Zenn needs little introduction. As a DJ, he is a true chameleon, adapting to any dance floor put before him. His rich, hypnotic sound and technical dexterity behind the decks makes him stand out amongst fellow peers. The only attributes that shine brighter than his skill set are his warm, genuine demeanour and humble stance. It’s no wonder that many of the country’s top venues have booked Sam, including Toronto’s Footwork and CODA, Vancouver’s Gorg-o-mish and Celebrities, and festivals like Bestival Toronto and Vujaday in Barbados.
