In Hindu Philosophy and some Indian religions, samskaras or sanskaras (Sanskrit: संस्कार) are mental impressions, recollections, or psychological imprints that colour one's thoughts and actions, and form the basis for the development of karma theory.
In Buddhism, the Sanskrit term samskara is used to describe "mental formations," "will," and many other concepts; in Pāli it is referred to as saṅkhāra.

According to various schools of Indian philosophy, every action, intent or preparation by an individual leaves a samskara (impression, impact, imprint) in the deeper structure of the person's mind. These impressions then await volitional fruition in that individual's future, in the form of hidden expectations, circumstances or a subconscious sense of self-worth. These Samskaras manifest as tendencies, karmic impulses, subliminal impressions, habitual potencies or innate dispositions.

‘Guidance’ is a delicate and emotional journey, driven by warm FM synthesis and soft textures that gently carry

My dear friends

I am happy to share my live recordings of one of the most magical night of my career so far.
I was invited to play in Oaxaca, Mexico together with Acid Pauli during 'Day of the dead' on 31st of oct 2015.
We played in some kind of old spanish church in the middle of the night. Because it was ‘the day of the death’ everybody was dressed like skelletons. They painted me as my dog Rivaldo, that passed away 3 months ago.
You can imagine playing in Mexico in a temple, on the day of the dead, with Acid Pauli, in front of Skelletons, while I was painted like my Rivaldo (and Martin had some kind of Jezus outfit) was pretty magical.

So I am excited to share with you the live recordings of this night.
I want to thank Mariana, ALKEMY and gem&bolt party w/ guest mezcal Amores and Meteoro to set up this night.
And all the people who came to show: you really made that temple come alive again!!

Satori LIVE- Día de Muertos, Oaxaca Mexico

Kicking off the week with this groovy psychedelic soundscape set played by Safak OzKutle AKA “Oceanvs Orientalis” is a formation which aims to challenge the aesthetic perception in electronic music.

It blends itself with the archaelogic tunes of mankind’s cumulative musical history and in this very context believes that “everything comes from the east”.

Despite of being an electronic-based formation -due to practical reasons- at the moment, it intends to transform into a dance (to move the body and feet to music) orchestra where each instrument will be played by its own instrumentalist.

Satori returns to Crosstown Rebels with his atmospheric album MAKTUB . Born to Serbian and South African parents, he has created a twelve track masterpiece that will linger in your memory long after it finishes.

When recording this album, I rented a farm in Belgium and locked myself away. I disconnected from the world and was completely alone for one month, with only my music for company. I didn't want to make 'just an album', with some cool beats and world music samples. It had to be an experience.

We are thrilled to have the talented ONNI with us for our 40th episode. 

ONNI was born in Istanbul, Turkey, where he lived whole his life before passion for music brought him to Berlin in 2017. Being loyal to his roots traditional sound is part of his sets to create emotional and unique experience. He brings a mix of slow, deep but nevertheless driving baselines.

He believes music shall not be limited to genres, but rather it is a way of expressing his emotions.

After being a resident at Istanbul’s infamous Kloster club and running own parties as well he fast set his foot in Berlin and is nowadays regular face playing at Katerblau and other clubs like Sisyphos, Chalet, Rummels Bucht and many more.

Strong storytelling and bringing listeners to journey through music has become a trademark of his sets. Now seat back and enjoy this amazing journey!
