Thank you for inviting me to be a part of this @ednamartinezdj . Made a mix with songs that say more than anything I could write really.....Going to play two songs I wrote a while ago, one which I performed live in January 2020 at the Museum of Memory & Human Rights in Santiago and another which was made shortly after, they're both influenced by what was taking place in Chile at the time which mirrors in some ways what we are seeing in Colombia now. As some of you may know, since the end of april in Colombia there have been more than 2,000 cases of police violence against protesters, 33 victims of eye injuries and more than 40 civilians killed by the police. Since the beginning of the year more than 60 rights defenders have been assasinated, and among them 20 were indigenous leaders. Since 2016, over 400 human rights defenders have been killed. In all this darkness, there may be some hope that the protests can create meaningful change. Last Sunday, Chileans elected a new group of citizens who will write a new constitution for the country. This was one of the core demands of the huge protests of 2019/2020.  It will be the first anywhere in the world to be written by an equal number of men and women and it will replace the constitution that has been in place since the years of the military dictatorship.  The only reason this moment of hope is possible in Chile is because of the incredible social movements that rose up to demand change. As I've said elsewhere, the courage and determination of Chilean students, activists, protesters, writers, artists has been astounding and they have/are shifted/shifting the political landscape and will continue to do so. In the past month I've heard stories of Colombian protesters taking cues from Chilean protesters and beautiful solidarity between Colombians and Palestinians also. We have so much to learn from each other. May this solidarity and interconnectedness bring us better days and in the meantime may music sustain us and nourish us. Following the success of previous vinyl ‘Heavy Rotation’ EP by Him_Self_Her, next Sex Panda White one is the way again.
This time label presents German masters of combining nu-disco and deep house vibes, the project which has created a reputation of a fast and properly growing project, especially after having storming beatport deep house charts with their releases on OFF Recordings (My House) – Dresden based Purple Disco Machine and their ‘Need Someone’ EP.
Original is soft and melodic, smooth and attractive, you can't be wrong while playing it.
A side is closed by Funkpony Records labelhead - Heston - Toolroom Records artist and just a quality producer from Britain with his ‘Need Someone’ version. Dirty and uncompromised, you will find it interesting to give a play.
B-side opens new talents - Nurvous Records’ scarlet Jamie Antonelli, who is lucky to be remixed by MK for his very first track, goes into deep side of the track. Squareness, simplicity and melody – three words to give a short review of the remix.
Label heads Marcato & Tiny Toon are filling the B-side. Their heavy bassline remix filed with massive high hat sections shows guys versatility of the music they do.
Pure funkiness, real jewel and just a good thing to play – that’s Sex Panda White as usual!

The famous Matterhorn mountain sits in my hometown of Zermatt, Switzerland. Its summit is of African techtonic plate rock. I wanted to create a track to link its hiistory to its origin. 'Weri Weri' (to behold) is an afro house beat with a hint of latin. Constructed using afro style percussion and simple but beautiful vocals, this track captures the african vibe and puts you in the moment of appreciation for how music can make you feel. With some simple build and drops, constructed mainly for djs to play with, Weri Weri has been tried and tested at clubs locally and has proven to bring that african/latin energy to the dancefloor. Looking for a track to take the night up a notch, then this is it.

Other People is a record label started in New York City in 2013 by Nicolás Jaar. In its 10 years of existence, it has featured the sonic work of over 70 music releases, highlights include Terepa (2015), a "telepathic" collaboration helmed by Kohei Matsunaga (aka NHK’Koyxen) featuring Rashad Becker, Charlotte Collin, Lucrecia Dalt, Laurel Halo, Julia Holter, Grégoire Simon and Kohei himself, Caves (2021), a compilation of silences featuring Laraaji, Aho Ssan, Ana Quiroga and more, Weavings (2022), a collaborative live piece with Juliana Huxtable, Ellen Fullman, Wukir Suryadi and Rully Shabara of Senyawa, Angel Bat Dawid and others. The label has also put out the 1990 spoken word piece "Conspiracy of Women" (2015) by Lydia Lunch, as well as Tomaga & Pierre Bastien's collaborative album entitled Bandiera di Carta (2019) and Lucrecia Dalt's Esotro / Veta release (2014) with remixes by William Basinski and John Wall. It has also featured the likes of Magdalena Dàugosz, Barbara Zawadzka, Bernadetta Matuszczak, Krzysztof Knittel, Bogusław Shaeffer, Saint Abdullah, Eomac, Dienne, Charbel Haber, Okokon, Against All Logic, FKA Twigs, Darkside, Nicolás Jaar and others.  It has featured the visual work of Maziyar Pahlevan, Africanus Okokon, Zofia Kulik, Jena Myung, Charbel Haber, Abeera Kamran and Somnath Bhatt among others. The label’s current contract states that an artist on the label owns all their rights and decides the full percentage of the revenue they wish to make from their releases on the label, after recoupment. Any of the label’s profit gets given out to artists in forms of grants, workshop and educational initiatives. The label has collaborated in this form with more than three dozen exceptional organizations and individuals in the past three years. Although the label works not-for-profit, it is not a registered non-profit.
