"The idea to make an archive of music I started my career from came to me spontaneously. I collected 24 tracks, some of which have been released, some are unfinished demos and others have been shared as freebies. I re-rendered the tunes from my DAW and leave them unmastered so you can hear them exactly how I’m when was creating them. I took out vocals from most of the songs to keep the attention to instruments and also leave the original project titles of the tracks.

Today, at the Archive release day, I deleted all those projects to completely let that music go and free my mind for new music experiences. I hope you’ll share some nostalgic moments with me listening to Archive." — Nuage

Night And Day continues the mood and brings home a solid collection of elements combined to create another sensational tune. Up next is I Don't Want To Lose You, a lesson in melancholy dance music with it's piano chords and longing vocals all accentuated by hidden arps and flourishes. 
Finally Take Me Away closes out the EP in fashion showcasing Avalon Rays ability to keep things moving in a modern and musical sense. These songs belong in both the casual listeners playlists and the DJ's bins alike.

Travelling the world from NZ to UK and reflecting on his experiences, Cern releases his second album “Under Another Sky” on Dispatch Recordings. Captaining an enthralling quest into his creative sphere, this project encapsulates a wide breadth of influences, delivering an all-rounded album that is both diverse and quality in substance.

Cern exercises total freedom across tempos and genres to map out a complex blueprint of his own fictional world; welcoming you to drift off into its atmosphere. As the novel unwinds, “Under Another Sky” delves deep into the senses with seamless transitions; from the progressive amen curiosity of “Infinite Exchanges” through to the off-kilter, abstract forays of “Human Dynamics” and serene instrumentals of “Blumei”.

The LP features a 15 track digital album, hand-picked and arranged to enhance the listening experience, rather than catering or targeting to dancefloor crowds. Vast soundscapes and solo instrumental pieces assimilate with sub-bass pressure to complete an all-encompassing listening experience from start to finish.

Amongst his own solo ventures, guest artist collaborators join Cern to explore the full spectrum of the D&B edge. Rolling early on with DLR for groove ridden “Patterns” and later met by the emotive depth of “Those Left Behind” with Hydro, his darker side accumulates throughout the album, as rugged link ups with Loxy, Gremlinz and Overlook cause untold low end damage.

Experimenting with both orchestral and amen elements to contrasting effect, Cern offers a temporary retreat from reality to take you “Under Another Sky”.

Making waves  of  late  in  the  drum  &  bass  scene  is  UK-born,  New  Zealand  based  Maxwell  ͚Monika͛Sweeney.    

Max  has  been  busy  carving  out  a  prolific  portfolio  over  the  past  few  years,  racking  up  releases  on  Soulvent  Records  alongside  the  likes  of  Shogun  Audio,  Med  School  Music  and  Ingredients  Records.  He  boasts  an  impressive  catalogue  of  music  ranging  from  delicate  Summertime  beats  to  all  out  dancefloor  smashers.  As  of  July  2018,  he  masterminded  &  continues  to  host  the  Soulvent  podcast,  as  well  as  recently  becoming  the  host  of  a  weekly  drum  &  bass  radio  show  in  Christchurch  (NZ)  -  showcasing  all  the  best  bits  from  across  the  scene  and  beyond.  

Monika͛s  talent  stretches  beyond  the  confines  of  170bpm  too:  with  a  few  house  releases  out  under  the  pseudonym  Jesse  Bullitt.  Now  looking  to  further  show  off  his  diversity  with  his  Monika  alias,  Max  has  crafted  the  epic  and  undeniably  cinematic  Fortress  EP,  due  out  on  Soulvent  on  the  30th  of  November.  This  EP  really  showcases  Monika͛s  ability  to  create  delicate  and  poignant  music  that  takes  inspiration  from  the  wider  stretches  of  dance  music,  and  music  as  a  whole.  As  he  keeps  progressing  onwards  and  upwards  on  his  musical  journey,  it  would  be  wise  to  keep  Monika  in  your  sights  and  headphones.
