Amazones' serves as the inaugural release from Other Tropics, the enchanting sub-label born from the mystical collaboration of human and jaguar spirits known as the Jaguarians. A label at the vanguard of modern house music, Repopulate Mars returns with the next instalment of its long-running Repopulate Stars series. Having previously featured artists such as John Summit, Leftwing : Kody, amongst many others, the next edition continues its legacy with another eclectic array of talent.

Kicking off with ‘Full Tilt’, a pumping house number from Arizona-based eta, the VA brings the heat from the off. Next up, NYC duo Local Singles come correct with the low-end heavy roller ‘Wu Tang’ before Mimmo Errico, Carolin Cole & Vanni F throw down stripped-back beats underneath lush vocals and flute action on ‘Magic Flute’.

On the digital flip, returning Repopulate Mars artists serve up dancefloor focused heavy-hitters, whether that’s BURNR & George Z with a brooding synth-driven cut named ‘Back2Back’ or duo VOLAC, who deliver a killer funk-fuelled track with heady vox samples titled ‘In The Air’. Tying it all together, Elijah & Grundy’s ‘Ring Ring’ showcases fluttering melodics and angelic female vocals that will melt the soul.

Robert & Lyric Hood’s globally revered house and techno project, Floorplan, return to Luke Solomon’s Classic imprint with ‘Like Dat’. As an early member of Detroit’s Underground Resistance, Robert Hood understands what it is to be the vanguard of a genre, now celebrating his faith through gospel inspired dance music with his daughter Lyric Hood. Together as Floorplan, the pair have built a strong relationship with Classic over the years, earning the respect of tastemakers like Seth Troxler, Dan Shake, TSHA and Jamie Jones thanks to their unmistakable gospel house and techno sound. Recent releases like UK radio favourite ‘We Give Thee Honor / Makes Me Wanna’ and underground cuts ‘The Curse Breaker / What You Need’ further proved Floorplan’s willingness to show their full talent at every turn. Now they continue this trend with ‘Like Dat’, a rolling house release built for the long club nights, accented by esoteric percussive sections and vocal stabs that cut through with ease.
