Here is the story of a little girl learning to play the violin. She struggles to play, and through her struggle she creates a new way of practicing: she imagines bringing her stuffed animal to life; a simple, Orange Elephant. He awakens, sits at a tiny piano (which is the same size as him now) and, for a moment,  plays a tune for her. She is taken by a melody, and plays it, completely enraptured by the intensity and simpleness of the piece.

Special thanks to my family who supported me to get to this point. This is an old one I made in 2007-2008 finally finished (I seem to have a large archive of old stuff to finish out). I hope you enjoy the song!

A Beginning From Within

A melancholic instrumental piece in a classical crossover style, featuring a prominent piano melody with a tempo that changes between slow and moderate and briefly to fast, The piece is in a minor key, creating a somber and reflective mood, The primary instrumentation includes a grand piano, which carries the main melody and harmonic structure, supported by a string section providing sustained pads and counter-melodies, The strings enter subtly, gradually building in presence, At one point, strings and percussive elements enter rapidly to create a threatening feeling, The production emphasises the natural reverb of the instruments, The dynamic range is moderate, with both moderate and subtle swells in the string section adding emotional depth, The piano's articulation is legato, contributing to the smooth and flowing character of the melody
