Otis Lande is a Professional Bassist born from a family of musicians, and has performed in 35 of the 50 U.S. States. Son of Pianist Art Lande (ECM Records), Otis switched focus from Piano to Bass at age 12. He received a BFA in Jazz Bass Performance from California Institute of the Arts in Valencia, CA where he studied with Alphonso Johnson (Weather Report, Santana). While in Colorado he held down the low end for many bands including Eufórquestra, Atomga, Mountain Standard Time, Rogue Sound, and Smack Thompson. In February of 2020 he travelled to the Democratic Republic of the Congo with Eufórquestra to teach workshops and perform at the Amani Festival in Goma. A multi-genre, multi-instrumentalist composer and teacher of Bass and Piano, Otis currently resides in Pawtucket, Rhode Island with his wife Heather.
