Moon hit silver on a slow drag bend
Night so thick you'd not recommend 
A bad idea or a second chance
Depends how long you’re willin’ to stand
Reeds lean in like they listen good
Every sound you make feelin' misunderstood
I ain’t chasin’, I never ran
Just waitin’ on the bank
Waitin' for the one eyed man

Time move different round here
It ain’t late long if you got no fear

I’ll be waitin’ on the bank
Let the current do what it gotta do
Ain’t gonna move, ain’t gotta think
Water always bring the truth

Footstep echo, then it quit
River don’t rush, never commits
You can swim hard, you can pray
But the river 'ill decide you anyway
Some folks thrash, some float quiet
Some learn when not to fight it
