One of the many 'had to be there' moments I have experienced over the years. The singer goes to introduce the next song and hears that the kick drum pedal is broken. He proceeds to make this story up on the spot to pass the time while waiting for the repair. This is a lesson on how to entertain a crowd when things go sideways. The round of applause at the end was well earned.

Remember, these are live. No retakes, no overdubs. There will be mistakes and out of tune vocals. Sometimes that is where the magic comes from. 

Recordings were taken straight off the live console, mixed for the venue. Some things may be a little too loud, other things a little too quiet. One shot to get it right, one of my favorite things about what I do. 

Mixing live music is my passion. Throughout my career I have witnessed many moments that will never happen again. Some planned, some a surprise to everyone in the venue, including the band. To be a part of that will always be something I love, respect and never take for granted.

I won't post anything without the permission of the band performing the song. Many songs are covers of well known tunes, the rights to those songs obviously belong to the original artists.
