“WOMB” marks OTTOMAN GRÜW’s first long format release and debut release on X-IMG. This seven track album seamlessly integrates his varied influences, showcasing his adeptness at traversing the expansive possibilities of Industrial inspired electronic music. Ominous atmospheres and rhythms cross between EBM, Techno, Electropunk and Ambient, with infectious vocal elements found throughout. The album also features collaborations with like minded artists such as Prophän, Incendie and Lvcerate.

In his own words: “The idea behind “WOMB” stems from the enigmatic relationship we cultivate with the divine - especially in our times of global sorrow, where faith wavers or seems elusive. The layer of noise by which every track is surrounded echoes the yearning of souls adrift. This spiritual disquiet is mirrored by the album’s sonic exploration of body horror, dissecting the vulnerability of our physical existence while reflecting the pervasive anxiety of our own impermanence. Where do we go when we dissolve?”

Following his debut album "WOMB" on X-IMG in 2024, Brussels-based OTTOMAN GRÜW returns with the "WOMB II" follow-up EP, showcasing his distinct industrial-leaning and destructive approach to electronic music once more. Two original tracks blend abrasive bass lines splayed across striding machine rhythms, layers of reverberated noise and distortion drenched vocals.

This follow-up release is expanded by four excellent remixes by UNCONSCIOUS (IT), EKATA (UK), VIDEOTRAUM (DE) and RICARDO LAINE (CAN). "WOMB II" ends with the sinister and hallucinatory-like ambient track “Born Again, Fragmented” While the previous album is more introspective and explores our relationship with the divine, intertwined with existential dread, "WOMB II" concisely embraces the other side - along the lines of madness, chaos, and the terrifying freedom that comes from tearing reality apart.

Trapped between flesh and technology, OTTOMAN GRÜW is the sulfurous technoid project of interdisciplinary artist Jean Grünewald. After being involved in Montreal underground music scenes for the last few years, Jean is now based in Brussels and operates the new platform/label MUTANT MODALITY.
Spread at the crossroads of industrial-minded electronics, OTTOMAN GRÜW’s identity combines intense dancefloor sound with experimental post-punk infused approach.
Through live performance to music production and DJ sets, the artist delivers a cathartic blend of rhythmic equations - spanning the spheres of techno, ebm, electro, dark ambient and noise. This research for a boundary-pushing aesthetic brought him on stage with artists like Orphx, Unhuman, Reka or Animistic Beliefs.

Away from idolatry and escapism, "HAUPTFORM" is the latest EP from the creative crucible of Brussels-based mutant project Ottoman Grüw. Marking his debut release on Umwelt’s imprint, the artist unfurls three scorched electro-techno anthems ready to ignite dancefloors and a cinematic ambient track. 

Across "HAUPTFORM", Ottoman Grüw showcases his ability to inject noise elements and EBM influences to expand listeners mind, while making bridges between old school electro, techno and modern industrial music. Step in, for the sake of body control!

The A side features the track “U (Control & Destroy)” which combines massive drum patterns and disorienting atmospheres with robotic vocals - all wrapped in a technoid frenzy. Following that, “Phantom Rhythmic” provides a highenergy blend of sassy irresistible electro and cold hypnotic synths.
But wait, there’s more: on the B side “Hauptform” takes you skirting the edges of unknown realms through intricated sequences. Finally, “Life Comes From Its Own Degradation” closes the curtain with a dark, ambient and cinematic lullaby, where abstract lifeforms collide— a delicate ballet of entropy. Is it birth or decay? Perhaps both.

Glasgow based Kenny Campbell is back with three uncompromised EBM tracks !
He has gained a reputation for delivering hard hitting sets whether they are techno, industrial, EBM or old skool hardcore.  He’s as comfortable playing at 100 bpm as he is 300 bpm.
In recent years he’s been a regular at Drøne in Manchester as well as playing all over the UK, Europe and as far afield as Sri Lanka, with frequent appearances in Germany, France and Netherlands.  In his travels he’s played alongside such diverse names as Nitzer Ebb, KRTM, Laurent Ho, Philipp Strobel, Black Kolor, Crystal Geometry, The Horrorist, Easygroove, Autumns, D.Carbone, The Mover and many more.
As a producer he achieved his life long dream of releasing on Industrial Strength Records.  With other notable releases and remixes on Drøne, Eradys, RIOT Radio Records, SHISHI, Revok, OSM Tapes, Nu Body and Tjalk records.  His long term collaboration with Huck Farper as Bone Skippers has featured on Monolith Records, Green Fetish Records and Wunderblock with his now prolific collaboration with Duelist has seen releases on Scuderia, Black Verb, Dissonanze, Clan Destine Records and Instruments of Discipline.

Spread at the crossroads of mutant industrial-minded electronic music, OTTOMAN GRÜW has found his singular style of frenetic, hallucinatory compositions - combining the mechanical structures of Techno, Electro and EBM with elements of Ambient and Post-Punk.
Fed by a constant need for renewal and a distinctly interdisciplinary inspiration, the sound of OTTOMAN GRÜW explores themes related to post-humanism, bridging the gap between alienation and transcendence while intertwining our grim reality with sonic fiction through a fierce combinations of rhythmic patterns, synth work and distorted vocals. Active since 2017 through live performance, music production and DJing, the multifaceted artist incorporates gritty experimentalism and otherworldly soundscapes into dancefloor's body-control.
This research for a boundary-pushing aesthetic has led him on stage across Europe with the likes of Orphx, Sarin, Unhuman, Reka, Hypnoskull and more.

PREMIERE: Kenny Campbell - Emotional Maelstrom Act 3 (OTTOMAN GRÜW Remix) [Ghost To Host Records]

I am proud to share with you 2 hours of mix recorded during my debut at the legendary Tresor club in Berlin. It felt special to have the opening slot and see the room slowly getting packed, even more special as Tresor was the very first club I discovered when visited Berlin for the 1st time years ago.

The mix starts with some drones and evolves slowly into a special selection of noisy breaks, EBM, industrial techno/electro, and overall multi-dimensional atmospheres wrapped-up in punk fashion. ENJOY <3

Incendie - Dawn Mist [Soil Records // SOTA081]

Incendie is the moniker of Berlin-based producer, DJ and Area Z manager Arthur Bdt.
Through his productions, DJ sets and collaborative projects (A.T.T.Corp, Human Spine), he aims to convey harsh, cinematic and introspective atmospheres drawing influences from Techno, Post-Industrial, Post-Metal and experimental music.
After releasing his debut album via Under My Feet in 2021 focusing on post-industrial, IDM and experimental sonic elements, he released two Techno-EBM EPs via Aufnahme+Wiedergabe and X-IMG, along numerous compilations appearances, DJ sets and live actions around Europe. He made his debut on historic rhythmic noise label HANDS this year, and recently played Forms of Hands festival, Bunkernoise and opened for Iggor Cavalera.
His next work 'Dawn Mist' will be released via the established spanish label Soil, and will show a brighter side to Incendie's productions with the two melodic techno tracks, Secular Dawn and Decaying Realities, as well as the electro-infused Stress, before coming back to Techno-EBM with Counterfactuals and Erosion of Trust.
To complete the release, Barcelona's bats SM Forma provided a powerful Techno-EBM remix of Secular Dawn, Bruxelles-based industrialist Ottoman's Grüw a haunted take on Counterfactuals while the label's boss SOJ delivers an ecstatic variation of Decaying Realities.
With light shining through the productions like never before in the musician's discography, it rather captures a period of life where love and significant friendships flowed into his life, rather than a change in his musical direction. It symbolizes a moment where it felt easier, hence the necessity for him to share a relic of this brighter side of his music influences and productions.

INCENDIE - COUNTERFACTUALS (OTTOMAN GRÜW REMIX)

IGNIS FERALIS, the second chapter in a four-part cycle, evokes the elements of a cursed and decaying world — a planet collapsing under its own corruption, where the future flickers uncertainly and the abyss draws closer.

Here, fire becomes sound incarnate: a percussion of flames striking against silence, each spark a relentless beat. It swells like a melody unraveling in distortion, crackling as it spreads. Its heat is a low vibration that shudders through bone, its dance a hypnotic sequence of minor tones, merciless and entrancing. At its heart, the blaze is a mechanical rhythm of devastation, primal yet precise, consuming everything in its pulse.

OTTOMAN GRÜW is the sulfurous technoid project of Brussels-based artist and Mutant Modality label founder Jean Grünewald (Theatre Of Light / A Body Without). Operating at the crossroads of mutant industrial-minded electronic music, OTTOMAN GRÜW has developed a singular style of frenetic, hallucinatory compositions — combining the mechanical structures of Techno, Electro, and EBM with elements of Ambient and Post-Punk. Driven by a constant need for renewal and a distinctly interdisciplinary inspiration, the sound of OTTOMAN GRÜW explores post-human themes, unknown futures, and worlds beyond existence — bridging the gap between alienation and transcendence while intertwining our grim reality with sonic fiction through a sharp command of rhythmic machine patterns, synth work, and vocals drenched in seared distortion.
