Done for the february challenge of Beetlecrab's comunity. The theme was: "It was a cold winter, and the city was asleep. A distant bell chimes, yet few heard it"
I used the Tempera to add textures and as a grain delay too.

This track has been produced for the monthly challenge organised by Beetlecrabs' discord community.
The theme was maudlin (Maudlin is variously defined as overly emotional or sentimental, full of self pity, or drunk enough to be emotionally silly)

I imagined a short story about two humans who are very much in love with each other. They blush every time they see each other, but have never spoken. Both share the same characteristic of being sickly shy. And every night, for an eternity, they have the same dream: to be together!

And I made a track that suit their dreams.

Here is my submission for the beetlecrabs discord community challenge of May.
The challenge was to get inspired of a poster with a flower and dreamy theme.
Same as previous one, the usage of at least one of the two synth from beetlecrab.audio was mandatory.
Some optional rules was prefered:
- odd rythm
- dawless
- dramatic modulations

I'm quite happy with my jam:
- Elektron A4 mkII (sequencer + voices)
- Beetlecrab.audio Tempera & Vector (voices)
- Hologram chroma console (FX)

Dawless but trimmed and (lightly) mastered in Ableton Live (no additional editing)

Here is my track from the Turtle challenge of june driven by the Beetlecrabs' discord community.
One instrument, tempera or vector, must be used, no additional FX, no multi tracking.

This track was recorded using the tempera only and has been mastered with Ozone to get a valid amount of loudness.

October Turtle challenge hosted by Beetlecrab.audio's Discord community
Theme:
Pulsating rhythms without classical/electronic drum sounds, welcome Temperas Euclidean!

No 808s, no 909s, no Linn drums, no snares or hi-hats sneaking in… Instead, we’ll build grooves out of anything but the usual suspects.

Use noises, plucking sounds, beeps, interference noises, pitch envelopes, resonance sounds, or other sounds that can help you feed a rhythm-driving track. Euclidean are welcome, but the only rule is: if it reminds you of a classic drum machine, leave it out.

The kick has been synthesised with the tempera using the sample of a cello-like sound. All is a matter of animating the volume and a filter cutoff. To push the concept, I used the step modulator to draw a sharp decaying envelope. Is this cheating ? maybe...
