Wolfman kreieren mit ihrer Musik wundersame Stimmungen. Mit
Erfolg: Ihre erste Single «All Is Random» ging als Sieger aus der
M4Music Demotape-Clinic 2013 der Kategorie «Pop» hervor.
Gekonnt verschachtelt das Duo Electronic, Pop und Blues
ineinander und legt ihre Klanggebilde wie ein leichtes, glitzerndes
Tuch über den Zuhörer. Ihr erstes Album «Unified» führt uns noch
tiefer in geheimnisvolle Gefühlswelten.
Eine sphärische Melodie, gespickt mit allerlei Klangelementen. Die
erste Single von Wolfman, «All Is Random», hinterlässt angenehm
ambivalente Gefühle beim Publikum: Sehnsucht und
Nachdenklichkeit, aber auch Hoffnung und Leichtigkeit. An der
M4Music Demotape-Clinic 2013 vermochte der Song sogleich zu
überzeugen und holte den ersten Platz in der Sparte «Pop».
Wolfmans zweite Single «Won’t Be Tamed» stürmt als Vorbote des
neuen Albums «Unified» mit einer wuchtigen Ladung Energie aus den
Lautsprechern und fügt sich perfekt in den dichten, sphärischen
Sound der Band ein.
Wolfman setzen sich zusammen aus Katerina Stoykova,
aufgewachsen in Bulgarien, Frankreich, den USA und der Schweiz,
und Angelo Repetto, Sänger und Gitarrist bei den Signori Misteriosi.
Die beiden Musiker und Tüftler wohnen seit Längerem im gleichen
Wohnblock im Zürcher Kreis 4, wo sie vor einiger Zeit damit
begannen, Musik auszutauschen und, bald darauf, gemeinsam zu
musizieren.
Mit ihrem Debut-Album «Unified» liefern uns Wolfman nichts
Gewöhnliches. Ihre Songs greifen tief, erschliessen jeden noch so kleinen Winkel der akustischen Szenerie,
die sie erschaffen, aber selber noch nicht vollends ausgekundschaftet haben, und wovon sie sich gerne noch
überraschen lassen. Sie verzaubern uns und laden uns ein, mit ihnen gemeinsam die noch unerforschten
Flecken ihrer Klanglandschaften zu erkunden, immer hungrig und immer auf der Suche, wie ein Wolf auf der
Jagd.

Depuis une dizaine d’années, le réunionnais Loya explore l’intimité musicale des îles sœurs de l’Océan Indien, contribuant à dissiper de manière singulière les frontières entre musique électronique et musiques traditionnelles à l’heure de la globalisation.
 
Marchant dans les pas de Ti Fock et d’autres pionniers du maloya électrique, Loya explore l’espace bleu de l’Océan Indien avec le naturel de l’insulaire, apprivoisant ses machines pour les adapter à la frénésie ternaire des rythmes traditionnels des Mascareignes et convoquer des états de transe. 
 
Après l’éclatant « Ti Lélé », soutenu par Nova, FIP ou encore XLR8R, Loya révèle « Zenfant », un nouveau titre extrait de l’album « Corail », à paraître le 28 septembre prochain sur Mawimbi Records. 
 
Souvenir enjoué d’un voyage vers les hautes terres de Madagascar, « Zenfant » joue sur une tonalité résolument plus dansante. Basé sur un field recording d’enfants chantant au rythme d’un arc musical dans les rizières d’Antsirabé, le morceau est propulsé par un beatmaking puissant et de grands accords solaires, typiques d’une « bass music » à l’anglaise,
