Our next premiere is pure creative excellence from Berlin duo, OUER. Since founding their self-titled experimental label in 2014, the duo has steadily grown - mastering the concept of creating truly genre-less intercrossing sounds that sound familiar enough to pull you in but new enough to keep you captivated.

The next offering from the ever-evolving musical dyad, brings us to the sixth place of the alphabet - F. The EP consists of 3 tracks: 'Dot Dot Dot,' 'Femto' and '35mm.' The latter is another fine production exhibiting melodic loops, unexpected breaks, soothing synths while embodying a sense of unpredictability that is part and parcel of this journey we call life.

With a title suggesting these boys are familiar with photography and film, we are allowed to experience the true width of the music through sketchy entrancing visuals in the video they created. The frames are a monochromatic blend of frantic microscopic cellular activity, mixed with sharp digital edges, bright white vibrations and the oozing of geometric patterns. We look forward to what the next helping will include but we are positive that it will be a unique spectacle for our enjoyment.

 This summer and autumn we will release a special string of digital only EP's. The OUER boys from Berlin are up first with three beautiful new compositions in their unique blend of breakbeat, indietronica and house . 'Coming Home' is that perfect "end of night" tune that will sail you home with a warm and happy feeling or keep you cosy in your living room after a wild night out (hopefully soon again).

Second up is 'The Long Goodbye', with a gentle start this track evolves into an ecstatic mix of melodies and beats until that deep bass sets in and spirals it towards pure bliss. Ending this 3 tracker is the slow and intimate 'Morning Routine' with that typical indie OUER flavour we got to love so much since their first offering on Dirt Crew Recordings in 2019 on their 'Stingray Nebula EP'.

We hope you enjoy these three new tracks in a sunny spot or on a nice journey to the beach.

Thomas Gray & Liam Ebbs : ‘‘Recollection of Everything Beautiful’ was written over the space of 18 months between 2019 and 2020. The protracted time frame for the creation of the record corresponded with a period of vast personal change for both Thomas and Liam. Contrary to their debut record, ‘3 Days, 2 Nights’, this work is less bound to place, rather being a reflection on the joy of transformation.’’ 

Part 1 of ‘To An End’ opens the project, fusing ethereal textures and modulating synth tones with a balearic tinged plucked melody and an amalgamation of euphoric strings and atmospherics. ‘Of Two’ follows next and sees the duo deliver intricately evolving off-kilter drums alongside elongated jazz-tinged bass notes and their signature cinematic soundscapes. Following is ‘.nov.’, which contrastingly switches the focus over to minimalistic 4/4 drums, snaking subs, wandering piano lines and resonant fills throughout. 

‘That Was You’ kicks off the flip, once again offering a more left of centre rhythmic approach via glitchy percussion and bumpy kicks while billowing synths and warm Rhodes ebb and flow throughout. ‘Variation II’ embraces a modern classical aesthetic with organic percussion, subtly blooming piano melodies and tension building pads next before Part 2 of ‘To An End’ closes the package, perfectly concluding the experience through evolving guitar melodies, blissful atmospheres, brass swells and a soft rhythmic flow.
