Hailing from the town of Ploieşti, Andu Simion has been a part of Romania’s bustling underground music scene for over 9 years. With releases on prominent labels such as Atipic, Polen, Particular, Cueva and Cakeman, Andu has become an integral part of the scene. Apart from his solo excursions, Andu is also part of the trio Lisière Collectif, a music project that we deeply admire at the Oufff HQ.

Through his eclectic musical repertoire, Andu pushes the boundaries of what the "Romanian sound" can be, exploring the realms of minimal, electro, acid and dub, always taking us on a journey that is both expected and unexpected at the same time. For his OUFFFCAST, Andu presents a distinctively introspective and emotionally reflective version of his musical universe. Perfect for the current times of isolation and social distancing, the mix induces you to think, feel and reflect on the past, the now, and the future. Enjoy the journey and stay safe <3

OUFFFCAST 2.05 → Andu Simion (Lisière Collectif / Ploieşti, RO)

Vetalz (aka Vitaly out of Moscow, Russia) is the creator of Kobobar project and a part of the Signal (Moscow/Bali) and Epizode (Asia) festival crews, a participant of Moscow based 237 Records Family, and 1/2 of duet Simplepack. He’s a sophisticated romantic and regular around the Moscow scene, an experienced disc jockey - into the straight beat, and Overall Murals’ long time friend. 

Dmitry (an owner of Overall Murals, based in New York) and Vitaly have known each other since the 5th grade. They grew up in the warmest part of Russia, in the town of Anapa, found on the Black Sea coast. In the mid-90's, their shared activities were graffiti and aggressive inline skating, mainly doing tricks and grinding rails. Early into the 2000's, they threw an underground party on the beach together. This was Vetalz’s debut and the start of his DJ career, while Dmitry focused on the visual arts. 

After moving to NYC, Dmitry would meet up with Vetalz every time he went back to visit Russia. During the recent coronavirus quarantine, OM was on hiatus from painting murals. To pass the time, Dmitry reached out to Vetalz to collaborate on a mix. Recording samples made by different voices from the OM team, Vetalz overlaid them into an unreleased mix. 

Creating visual messaging as a company and as artists can go hand in hand with audio. Making music is just a part of the cultural expansion of our message, which includes “Kill the Pixel”, “Coast to Coast”, and “Overall Champion”. 

Overall Murals is a Brooklyn based company that creates big murals and signs throughout the country and world.

Tribute to Feirouz

#Talkaboutbeirut is an artistic campaign to create awareness about the tragic events that are occurring in Lebanon, especially after the 4th of August explosion that devastated its capital, Beirut.
Naissance Musik’s founder https://soundcloud.com/hear is a Beirut born and Berlin-based artist. He and other Lebanese artists realized that there were a huge misconception and lack of understanding from the international community about the catastrophic situation in Lebanon. So, they decided to launch this awareness action with the hopes of shedding light on the ongoing situation through art, especially music!
Art travel, create connections, opens discussions, and brings people together.
#TalkAboutBeirut aims to bring this matter to consciousness through music and art. This first edition will be combining electronic music with classical Arabic culture through the traditional OUD instrument.
We invited Henrik Raabe (Wareika, Perlon) to perform a live set, through the usage of his Oud and other modular machines. Alongside Andrea Ferlin (Sleep Is Commercial) and HEAR who will be spinning records in the name of Beirut and its people.
Naissance Musik appreciates so much the support and enthusiasm of Club der Visonäre and its resident artist Andrea Ferlin for setting it up.
