Nico Stojan set up Ouie with his friend and longtime collaborator Acid Pauli as a conduit for the unique and wonderful music they and their friends have become synonymous with. This latest release reaffirms the magical quality the label has cultivated, this time in the form of a teamwork between Nico and David Mayer. 

'Fling' kicks off powerfully - a shuffling, organic groove leads the way before synth pads, jazzy piano riffs and a big breakdown amp up the atmosphere. 

'Safari' employs a similarly swung, live feel to the groove, before dropping in a breakbeat to take things to the next level. The track builds tension as synths are layered and layered, resulting in a mystical leftfield bomb.

'Kalamanka' is a taut, atmospheric slice of late night voodoo, built around live percussion and understated synths.

After Rigopolar’s Greater EP, released on NAZCA last year, Los Suruba, presents this eighth release ‘Greater Ep, the remixes part 1’. A record where Rigopolar’s tracks ‘Greater’ and ‘The End (Of Eternity)’ are remixed by Santiago García, Luca Musto and MoM.

You will be able to identify the particularities of these artists as well as their distinguished manners when it comes to creating new sounds.

Rigopolar, originally from Mexico but established in Brooklyn is known to enrich his music production with cosmic sounds making Nazca Records very suitable for his style. 
The first remix of ‘The End (Of Eternity)’ comes by the hand Santiago Garcia, a beloved Argentinean producer resident in Spain that has impressed artists like Âme and Dixon with his elaborate sound display. 
Luca Musto’s version of ‘Greater’ is a playful one; the German artist mixes immersive vocals with metallic synths and soft chords. 
The last but not least MoM’s remix of ‘Greater’ is an intense track rich in circular sound waves that embrace you with every beat.

David  Mayer is a boundary-defying producer and DJ whose sonic palette has been shaped by an extraordinary multicultural upbringing spanning Germany, Spain, Norway, and ultimately Berlin, where he settled in 2004. This rich tapestry of cultural influences has cultivated his distinctive approach to music—one that refuses to be confined by genre conventions. No matter the genre, his passion for funked-up, pounding four-on-the-floor beats dominates his creative output. When spinning records and producing tracks, he presents his interpretation of catchiness, blending techno and house, and adds a touch of depth, but always keeps an eye on making his audience move and groove.

David’s music has traveled the world, releasing on world-renowned labels such as Connected Frontline, Ouïe, Objektivity, Gruuv, Audiomatique, and Keinemusik.

Ouïe is the label where tales will be told. 

You hear the artist’s influences; the travellers they passed, the lovers they lost, the jungles, deserts and cities they crossed. And, of course, you hear the work of musicians whose knowledge of music allows them to cross-pollinate computer music with ease. Think jazz. Imagine disco. Dream ambient. Desert grooves. Behind Ouïe are Acid Pauli and Nico Stojan, guys who have created these shifts with their music over multiple utopian soirees attracting some of the most colourful and awake people on the planet. Joining them to tell the tales will be friends old and new. Quantum collage, Oceanvs Orientalis, Nu and of course many more, but this will happen organically and diversely, like the music.
