This is a happening. This a sense of togetherness, brought to by way of a canoe, rolling on the rivers of rhythm and blues. Let the boogie lick your lips. Let the jangle, shake your soul. UK band Village Green Machine, began as a Mark Lemon solo project, inspired in part by producer Daniel Lanois, whose unorthodox choices of recording locations led to Lemon’s decision to record the album England's Dreaming Spires in a church hall, using vintage equipment. This album led to worldwide airplay, including BBC Radios 2 and 6.
Mark was later joined by Paul Collins, a veteran of avant-garde bands, and soulful R&B bassist Jason Holgate to complete the Village Green Machine lineup.

Feeding People come from the Adolescents’ “Kids of the Black Hole” country, the un-Disneyfied side of Orange County, California. They met in a church band and then spiraled off into the cosmos, putting out a record in 2010 on heroic hometown emporium Burger Records that out-freaked almost all the other extremely accomplished freaks already on that label. It sounded like the battle of all battles—trying to go psychedelic in a place where it would have been so much easier to go plastic.
