Known for bringing a fresh intensity with his flow, Fast was launched into notoriety in the northwest with his début mix-tape released under Penny Pinchin’ records, “Key to the City.” His reputation for solid live delivery and showmanship is growing with every high-energy performance, leaving many anticipating the release of Young Fast’s EP “All I Know is Hustle” this summer. Also rumored to be cooking in the Fast lab is the following full album “Going Through it to Get to it.”

Born in Seattle, Washington on November 14, 1985 as Martrice Donta Grant, Young Fast quickly developed a passion for the entertainment business. At the age of 10 Fast entered his first dance competition and began to make a name for himself in the region. By 15 Fast was recruited to perform with his cousin Yellow lines at festivals such as Imajna Fest and other hip hop shows. He was introduced to Rob Ross and Mr. Benjamin and was soon performing as Mr. B’s backup dancer, creating the opportunity for Young Fast to meet such artists as E-40, Chris Brown, and Curtis Blow. 

After going through a life changing experience, Fast was moved to redirect his creative energies into expressing himself lyrically, but with a style and instinct refined by years of performing. This foundation as a dancer and entertainer is apparent in his unique combination of lyrical rhythm and outstanding stage presence. Indeed, “Key to the City” served noticed to the world that Young Fast has begun his journey to greatness.
