I did this remix for the 2010 These New Puritans remix competition.  The competition was announced shortly after I bought Logic so used it as an exercise to learn a little about how to use the software.

The Honey Dance is a song that stems from a tune that came to me in a dream.  I rolled over in my half-sleep and sang the melody into my mobile phone so I wouldn't forget it.  I'm glad I did so, because it turned into one of the songs I'm most proud to have written.

You could say that I started recording this song back in 2002, as that is when I recorded the insect noises, at a beautiful, peaceful temple, just outside Chiang Mai, in Thailand.

I started to work on this in 2011, and still haven't got round to finishing it, so I thought I may as well share it now until I get round to finishing it.

It hasn't even got a real bass on it yet.  The synth arpeggios have all been manually played, as I don't really know how to use an arpeggiator.

There is a vocal version of this too using a vocoder, but I'm not sure I'll bother with that when I do get round to finishing this off.
