Self, whom is featured on my upcoming Collaboration EP called Tidal, was with me in the studio and threw down a whole bunch of freestyles. This is the last beat I made for 2013 and constructed it for it his flow.

I have been sitting on this edit for about a month now. For some reason, this particular track came in my head while at work. I had this crazy idea, what if I change the time signature of the this classic tune? So I flipped the beat up and chopped the vocals to match the new beat. The vocals itself took me a month to edit for the simple fact, the song is 7 minutes and I would only do a few verses at a time because chopping in 6/8's time signature was messing with my ears a little bit and I wanted to make sure that the lyrics would sound fluid over the new beat. Also, what's so crazy about this song is that all the stuff they were talking about 30+ years ago is still relevant in today's society.
