Monochrome presents, 𝖍𝖎𝖛𝖊𝖗 𝖑𝖑𝖑 : Diapasøn, CWR/Résilience.

This winter, Monochrome is offering each month to one or several artists to discover their influences and inspirations through a forty-five minute to two hour recording. These three recordings will focus on percussive rhythms between Ambient, Deep Techno and Drum & Bass.

Artist biography :
Diapasøn became interested in music and its instrumental practice at an early age. Since 2012, he has devoted himself fully to electronic music, a way for him to express his passion for current influences. In 2017, he created the Lyon-based label CWR, where he manages the artistic direction and programming. In love with vinyl, his sound universe swims between ambient and psychedelic techno.

The Paris based artist dc11 got into making music via modular synthesisers and to this day they are his tool of choice in the studio as well as in clubs. Gravitating towards the loopy side of techno, his live sets always leave a big part to improvisation. Finding ways to slightly shift loops and grooves hasn’t lost its appeal yet.

Artist biography :
Avsluta is a London-based sound artist, DJ, live performer and curator. While her output is diverse in both her live performances and DJ sets alike, it most often taps into the realms of ambient, downtempo, UK-bass and leftfield techno, navigating the in-betweens of ambient and dance music.
Lucie runs Introspective Electronics, a platform featuring regular radio shows and guest podcast series zooming in on the vast diversity of ambient and electronica. Together with the London-based DJ and producer Alicia, she co-curates Terra Obscura, a series of progressive club experiences at the grassroots London venue Ormside Projects. In collaboration with AMOENUS, she co-organises Sonic Garden, a series of outdoor experimental ambient and downtempo happenings.

"I'm transported back to that day as I drove my van down from the Alpujarras to Granada. Views of the sea from the high mountains. Curves and deep rhythms and hypnotic beats coming from the speakers. A journey to Granada that I never wanted to end."

Influenced by sounds such as bebop or progressive psychedelic rock and focused on experimental and ambient music rather than clubbing in his beginnings, Pharma (@pharmahplc) later delved into the deep and immersive sound, creating an amalgam that has been interconnecting through the passage of time to finally take shape into both listening and clubbing sets with a specific musical discourse in each context, connected with common elements, where the density between light and shadow promotes a mental activity that prevails over physical activity. He is currently focused on Masa Series (@masaseries), a label he co-runs which is related to the different subgenres of electronic music since 2020.

This third episode of the series was recorded on November, 2023. This mix was the first part of the night where F-on brings us another uncomfortable nightmare.

Since his debut on stage, Diapasøn has had the opportunity to play alongside many artists such as Claudio PRC, Christian Wünsch, Deniro, Benjamin Damage, Skudge, Blazej Malinowski, Polygonia, Lenson, and many others. All these performances have inspired him and contributed to shaping his artistic identity.
