Remco Beekwilder - Outlined

The Stone Techno series continues. We are presenting the third release of this beautiful collaboration alongside with the Ruhr Museum Foundation and the Orthorhombic EP marks a special occasion. You may ask yourself why? Because the whole project can be also a door opener for talented artists such as our Stone Techno Challenge winner Emil Baghino from Paris, who has delivered the best track amongst more than 170 submissions.

On the other hand, we have again some stellar artists on the bill. The four-tracker A-Side is reserved for not one but two fresh Berlin based duos: it starts with some tight-punching breaks by the one and only FJAAK and leads into the second track, a driven techno tool by Inhalt der Nacht & Tham, which definitely deserves the term “post-industrial machine music”. On the B-Side the techno train stays on the rail with deep hypnotic vibes by Jamaica Suk and last but not least, a real-effective dance floor banger by Emil Baghino.

We hope you enjoy the tracks and be ready for the fourth and last release of the Stone Techno Series for this year.

Nachtstrom Schallplatten is thrilled to welcome Liza Aikin to the label family. Liza is an electronic music producer based in Berlin. Resident DJ at Tresor, she’s also a live act performer, dedicated to tailor made music production, always looking to recreate the sound she was missing in the dance floor, with field recordings and modular synthetisers, Liza’s music has previously been released on labels such as Mord Records, Emetic, Gegen Records Evar Records, Obscuur and Voxnox. Liza makes her debut on Nachtstrom Schallplatten in form of this beautifully crafted 4 track EP, which consists of 3 original productions and a remix by one of Berlin’s finest producers: the notorious Headless Horseman. The 12”-version will be coming on coloured vinyl with a fully printed sleeve and will be strictly limited to 100 copies! The release will hit the stores on the 6th of September. Oscillating between a futuristic, sophisticated and delicate techno, Liza Aikin’s music stands out thanks to the richness of raw sounds, which she intricately sculpts, resulting in experimental, hypnotic, and cinematic techno pieces. We're finally back with our digital series ! This time with pretty relentless and peak time bombs from @Verschwender, @istrefi, @hioll, @chlaer and @thechronicsxiii

The german word „Verschwendung“ is literally translated into English with the word “Waste”. However it is a very specific type of waste. One where the process of wasting it has to involve burning an over-excessive amount compared to what you would’ve needed. This summarizes the dude that calls himself Verschwender pretty well.
Cutting his teeth as a selecta in the Drum’n’Bass scene of Frankfurt and then later migrating into the business of making bouncing, dry, Detroit influenced Techno slammers has given him the sort of experience that you don’t normally get without attending cooking school. However, be it behind the Decks or the 909 you cannot get Verschwender without some form of excess. His record bag holds several decades of bangers, his grin is wide enough to cure all forms of blues you might be having, and every turn of a knob is fueled by his clear and burning passion for electronic music. His mischievous demeanor is well-documented by now and his sets are known for leaving no two feet standing. 

To summarize everything in the lightly changed immortal words of Tupac Shakur : “Ain’t no party like a Verschwender Party”.

OBSCUUR is proud to welcome back the excellent Liza Aikin, after her stellar contribution to the “Withered Tales” album. Liza returns with her own release, a take on industrial techno named “Infirm Past”. 
Her signature brand of techno spans over two original tracks, a force of sound cemented by how well it blends with the remix efforts of Swarm Intelligence and VSK. This is an EP covering all grounds, from immersive techno to harder-edge dance floor percussion. 
First up is “Hospital Bed”, club ready and on the harder end of the scale, it delivers increasingly frustrating emotions through percussion packed with field recordings literally from the mechanisms within hospital machines. Swarm Intelligence adds the remix favour, with a growling bassline and broken techno cuts. 
“Emmaus” follows up, with a sophisticated palette of layered pounding rhythms. Glued together with a hypnotically morphing melody, VSK steps up to the plate for the remix, plastering his well-known sound all over and slowing the drums to achieve a pure meditative hallucination. 
Liza Aikin consistently strives to push her sound in new directions, the known mixing with the unknown, making this EP a rewarding listening experience both at the club and at home.

RLHU is a young industrial techno DJ and producer from Hull, England, and his influences come from Industrial and hard techno. His sets range from 150-160bpm and he has played in various venues in his hometown, and also at Corsica Studios, for Jaded London.
RLHU has also released on labels such as Green Fetish Records, Ouroboros, Scale Trax, & Industrial Violence to name a few.

The label's first release seeks to offer an initiatory experience to @forbiddenteachings 's mission, namely to express the inexpressible. 

The A side of the record is body oriented and is introduced with NN's "The Blood Of A White Monark", a track characterised by its forceful rhythm, cinematic breakdown and strong synths. Mind I Matter dives deeper in the EBM spectrum with "Thelema", a track featuring a bassline that goes straight to the body and supported by an expertly crafted atmosphere, reminiscent of the notorious esoteric doctrine. 

The B side of the record is soul oriented and begins with Antechamber's "The Ephemeral Hallucinations", an atmospheric track that elevates the listener to a place where earthly senses become blurry. Nigh/T\mare concludes the compilation with his track "Unconscious Traction". It features a robust and hypnotic rhythm coupled with an intense atmosphere that leads the listener to a state where deeply buried emotions and desires could resurface.

The cyclic nature of the Universe: without destruction there is no creation. 
Think of who you are, a human being consisting of billions of atoms - some of which originating from an exploded star thousands of lightyears away - you are created by destruction.

In music we see the same concept. Artists know the struggle of distorting, building, re-building, deleting, sampling and destroying their music to, in the end create a masterpiece. Ouroboros is all about that process: creation through destruction - In exitium creaturae.
