Due to her horrific death in March 1964 and growing crimes, the 911 emergency number was finally implemented in the United States. Psychologists have attributed the bystander effect to her. In 2014 it came to light that Time Magazine changed/altered facts in their article during their initial printings in 1964. The magazine exaggerated details in their reports to better suit their selfish agenda, corporate greed at its finest. It wasn't until 2016 Time magazine took accountability for their false publishing. We encourage everyone to read about Catherine's story and life.
