'Closer To Sunlight' war das erste Lied, das Chris und ich zusammen für Out Of Six geschrieben hatten. Ich glaube sogar es war der erste Song für den wir ne Demo produziert hatten.

Nachdem erst ein paar Jahre nach Gründung Vale und Hendrik als Gitarristen dazu kamen mussten wir den Song komplett umarrangieren. Ursprünglich war für den Song nämlich nur Klavier und Gesang vorgesehen.

Inhaltlich befasst sich 'Closer To Sunlight' mit der Angst sich zu outen. Häusliche Gewalt ist heutzutage leider immernoch ein Thema, bei dem sich betroffene oft nicht in der Lage sehen um Hilfe zu rufen.
