Out Of The Cool are an eight to ten piece professional function/party band. The players are all chosen for their musical pedigree and ability to entertain. We differ from many other bands in the breadth and choice of the material we perform. We cover the best of Party Music, from acts like; Earth Wind & Fire, Jamiroquai, Stevie Wonder, Tower of Power, Michael Jackson, James Brown, Chic etc. all performed with the same energy and vitality of the originals. We like to feel that our audiences are getting the nearest thing to hearing the original acts live.

Boogie Wonderland - Demo Mix 00

This is the title track of our latest record. It was recorded live in the studio and it was an amazing experience altogether...I had fun playing this through my amp and an envelope filter...PS: On this 'minus bass' track you will be able to hear the original bass very quietly in the background. This is audio 'bleed', i.e. the bass coming through all the other microphones in the room as this is a live recording.

Concubine Chronicles (minus bass)

This tune was the opening track of our 2nd album called 'Falling From Insanity' (2004). Over the years it has become a favorite for fans and the band alike. In 2009 we decided to record a 'live in the studio' version and re-titled it 'Ferocious Juggernaut Blondes revisited'. There is a definitive Rocco Prestia influence there during the tenor solo...
Play this with an envelope filter of your choice...I played it with a Moogerfooger lowpass filter...

This is the opening track from the 'Concubine Chronicles' album. The key was to bring home the groove a la James Brown. Jim Hunt is playing an incredible creative and powerful tenor solo on top of the grinding rhythm. Well worthy of an opening track in my opinion.

This track is from my very first record – Redtenbacher’s Blue Funkestra – ‘Boozing Wizards (Searching for the Stone of Funk)’ from way back in the mid 90s. We recorded that literally in the bathroom of a house in Boston but I think it still sounds all right. Also, the tune has proven to be a fun one to perform live over the years and although we don’t play it exactly like on the record, large chunks are still the same.
