It's true you can teach an old dog new tricks!!!!  I was frustrated because I am not techno savvi and I had this Novation Impulse 25 equipment and did not know how to use it......so I got out of the boat and jumped in yesterday.....lol.....threw together some sounds and it is awesome.....I want to dance....and move....and it is putting a smile on my face to have some success using this equipment....so guys.....take a stand...put your hands up and move!!! Worrying times how the world is right now.  So much going wrong in people's lives and I can't help thinking there must be more that we can do as Christians, we can't sit back and let all these tragedies happen around us.  Someone I know died because he was an alcoholic......what did I do?  Did I talk to him about Jesus.....did I encourage him about going to Betel where they could have helped him restore his life.....No....I was too scared because I thought I would be seen as if I was interfering!!!!!  Fear stopped me in my tracks not to do the right thing and I am ashamed that I missed an opportunity to be an arm of outreach to a lost soul.  I know I am challenged to do more.....and to take God's kingdom by force.....so I am encouraging you too, don't miss opportunities to share the love of God to a very lost and sad world. This song was inspired when I felt very lonely, lost and isolated.  I have had times when I felt so close to God and surrounded by his love but at the time of writing this song.....I know I felt far away from Him, His presence, His protection...….seemed a million miles away.....I was the one that moved away......too busy...too tired....God got pushed out.  The lyrics "Can I come home" was my way of asking God if I could get back to a place of safety, favour and blessing under his wings of love and grace.   Of course the answer is "Yes".  When you love someone - and you realise that you have been selfish, hurtful and wrong in your behaviour - it is important to go to them and say "Sorry, I've messed up - please forgive me"  I think it is a life lesson to make amends in all relationships especially with God.

I have joined an organisation called "Resound Music" and they are running a "12 song Challenge"  They give you the theme each month and challenge you to write a song connected to this theme.  May's challenge was to write a song about "Holy Communion"  This was not an easy challenge for me as most of May I was not in the best place emotionally to be  thinking about kneeling at the alter to take communion - stresses of life and work seemed to overwhelm me and God was being shut out and I felt I was battling everything on my own - crazy thing was - that was my choice - I needed to get out of the driver seat and let God drive - He needs to be in control - I need to follow and be at peace...……...Glad I connected and wrote this song.

2023 - Stay safe everyone and let's hope we all get through this by being wise and helping each other. May 2023 be a year of blessing and outreach to the lost.....keep singing praise and worship to Jesus.
