I was frustrated because I am not techno savvi and I had this Novation Impulse 25 equipment and did not know how to use it......so I got out of the boat and jumped in yesterday.....lol.....threw together some sounds and it is awesome.....I want to dance....and move....and it is putting a smile on my face to have some success using this equipment....so guys.....take a stand...put your hands up and move!!! I have had this pretty chorus going round my head for a while...and then today I felt encouraged to add some uplifting scriptures.  You see the worldly stuff will tell us it's over, hopeless, no point, that's it, you are on your own and no one cares!!  But none of that is true when you line yourself up with what God says about you and your life....but we have to actively acknowledge and receive Jesus as our Lord and saviour......open our mouths and say what needs to be said and connect our hearts to His heart and start an amazing eventful journey in the Christian faith....God bless you. Worrying times how the world is right now.  So much going wrong in people's lives and I can't help thinking there must be more that we can do as Christians, we can't sit back and let all these tragedies happen around us.  Someone I know died because he was an alcoholic......what did I do?  Did I talk to him about Jesus.....did I encourage him about going to Betel where they could have helped him restore his life.....No....I was too scared because I thought I would be seen as if I was interfering!!!!!  Fear stopped me in my tracks not to do the right thing and I am ashamed that I missed an opportunity to be an arm of outreach to a lost soul.  I know I am challenged to do more.....and to take God's kingdom by force.....so I am encouraging you too, don't miss opportunities to share the love of God to a very lost and sad world. This song was inspired when I felt very lonely, lost and isolated.  I have had times when I felt so close to God and surrounded by his love but at the time of writing this song.....I know I felt far away from Him, His presence, His protection...….seemed a million miles away.....I was the one that moved away......too busy...too tired....God got pushed out.  The lyrics "Can I come home" was my way of asking God if I could get back to a place of safety, favour and blessing under his wings of love and grace.   Of course the answer is "Yes".  When you love someone - and you realise that you have been selfish, hurtful and wrong in your behaviour - it is important to go to them and say "Sorry, I've messed up - please forgive me"  I think it is a life lesson to make amends in all relationships especially with God.

I have joined an organisation called "Resound Music" and they are running a "12 song Challenge"  They give you the theme each month and challenge you to write a song connected to this theme.  May's challenge was to write a song about "Holy Communion"  This was not an easy challenge for me as most of May I was not in the best place emotionally to be  thinking about kneeling at the alter to take communion - stresses of life and work seemed to overwhelm me and God was being shut out and I felt I was battling everything on my own - crazy thing was - that was my choice - I needed to get out of the driver seat and let God drive - He needs to be in control - I need to follow and be at peace...……...Glad I connected and wrote this song.

I have joined Resound Music 12 song challenge - anyone can join by the way.  It started in January.  Each month we are given a "Theme" to write about.  October's theme was "Mental Health"  - I don't know anyone who is not going through "stuff" at the moment, life is hard and can seem even darker when things get on top of us.  Thankfully I find when I pour out in my songs, somehow I feel God meets me half way just to catch hold of me and build me back up again.  I think everybody needs a little encouragement and I hope my song does that.  Stay safe x  Chrissy :)   Words to song below :)

2023 - Stay safe everyone and let's hope we all get through this by being wise and helping each other. May 2023 be a year of blessing and outreach to the lost.....keep singing praise and worship to Jesus.   Would love for folk to step forward to help me out with the music/vocals.........collaboration / teamwork......I am running with a batton of lyrics......God started this so I am confident that He will finish it.

Thank you so much for listening. I pray the words will touch your heart, bless and encourage you.  My heart has been encouraged by the words that have poured into me to keep me afloat against all the storms that we have faced.  Hopefully the songs will bless you, to give you an anchor that you may need to keep you steadfast and unmovable regardless of the giants or storms that you may be facing today! Amen. I have been inspired to write the songs along with singing the melody into my digital recorder however Ian Weekes from our song writing group has blessed me so much by singing some of the songs and playing the guitar, which have been downloaded to Soundcloud.  Blessed talent! Jo Falke, Bernie Killen, Risingson, Tris, Omar Garcia, Jonathan Barendsma and Leon have all supported me too!  I am currently learning to play the guitar and praying for the confidence and voice so that one day I'll download a song for Soundcloud (I've done this now :).
