Smooth was established by Marco Köller from Wuppertal (Germany) in 2006 to seperate the progressive flavoured output from his other musical projects and to dive a little deeper into sounds and other musical genres. Meanwhile, Smooth has become a project for research in Dubtechno, Deep House, Garage House, UK House, Progressive, Drum&Bass and 2-Step, as these styles have been important influences in the bygone years. Marco Köller started DJing back in 1989 and producing in 1994, and since that time, he moved in many electronic music genres. Beside producing, mastering, sound design and graphic design, he operates the non-commercial audio netlabel CYAN that he founded together with Jaja.

Foreign Material is back to the label with his new EP: 4 diverse tracks ranging from the hypnotic title-track Vesperal Lights to the melancholic Reminiscence of the Future, passing by the mysterious Eternal Fire and the celestial Choirs of Motanskuna. 4 different atmospheres showing the different aspects of his own universe and music production.

To celebrate the 30th release of our main series, this EP will be accompagnied by 30 very exclusive vinyl dubplates, fully transparent, coming with a print of the artwork.

Ilya Orange based in Moscow DJ and producer, working in different genres under several names. The musical path began at age 13, when he wrote hardcore and house in a fast tracker, then switched to trance, and then came to ambient, dub techno and idm. Currently he works on several projects (also known as Legobyte) and collaborates with pop artists, deals with sound design, music and graphics for computer games, and video. Collaborated with spanish, british, chilean, russian and ukrainian labels, published on compilations and released self-releases.

UK based Deep & Dub Techno lover - have been in the Electronic Music scene for many years - have always been interested in many different forms and styles in the scene but it is the Dubby and warm sounds that reach out to me. I started up Poisonoise Music via Soundcloud to feature my own Smoke Rings series which is a weekly set of new and old Dub Techno tracks which i have in my collection. The page is doing really well and currently has nearly 120,000 plays.  Back in May 2017 i also started up a guest mix slot on my page which is very successful and has just celebrated it's 50th episode! I love being part of this Deep & Dub Techno movement - there is a real nice family / sharing vibe to it all xxx
