‘Regeneration’ is the new EP by Marcelus, back on the Out-Er label with a 4 track EP consisting of loopy, hypnotic but driven techno. As you progress through the record you experience the different sides to Marcelus’ current sound, from tribal focused and stripped back dance music to complex beat patterns, deep psychedelic grooves and IDM style computer noises. The EP is a true testament to the style that Marcelus has cultivated up until now, and fits neatly alongside Out-Er’s back catalogue.

Long standing German artist Bleak returns to Out-ER with a full EP, having previously appeared on a Different Seasons VA compilation for the label.

His productions are underpinned by warm bass constructions, evolving dark and surreal pad sounds, chords and heavy rhythms. Evoking cavernous spaces of reverb and complex structures in his music, Bleak is at once future-facing and inspired by the underground Techno / House styles of the 90s. 

With ‘The Ashes Of The Stones EP’, he returns with a coherent, versatile record, building on the musical narrative he has previously explored. The four tracks are primed for body and mind, equally tailored to introspective moments or energy release.

“Different Seasons” series is a sequence of various artists releases where we'll be featuring new collaborations and stabilizing the old ones.
Different Seasons Vol.1 sets Civilian and Fabrizio Lapiana as new entries. Civilian is an unknown Berlin-based artist with the wish of experimenting new aspects of his dance-music personality on Out-ER - ‘One’ is a minded, acid-not-acid cut with plenty of energetic and introspective patterns. Fabrizio Lapiana needs no introduction, the roman artist built his own crystalline sound in the last seven years, releasing on his own imprint Attic and on M_REC - ‘Aubergine’ is a tasty, bleepy and limpid cut perfectly into the label’s musical range. Limo and Regen, whose profiles got already known through the label’s audience, return with their typical sort - dub and swinging from the Serbian producer with ‘Reduct’, steady and gloomy from the Transition LAB label owner with ‘DarkDubTek’.

Long standing British artist Allen Saei, also known as Aubrey, steps forward in his excellent career with ‘Aqua Warrior’, an excellent debut EP for the Italian imprint Out Electronic Recordings, which reaches its twentieth release confirming its ever swinging musical approach within House and Techno once again. 
 The experienced DJ producer already played records for a label showcase at OHM, Berlin, the last November 2015 for Nuove Sessioni EP Release Event. It occurred to Aubrey to perform dj set in the label’s motherland Lecce, South of Italy, for the local techno party Knick Knack, ending up to spend some days around the sunny Ionic coast with the whole crew, playing back to back and jam sessions with label owner Simone Gatto too, sharing daily moments and music opinions: ‘Aqua Warrior’ spontaneously arrives after experiences and events spent with the Italian company and other ones which are yet to come. 
 The EP title track offers a rolled up house-inspired groove fulfilled with basic, romantic piano pattern, mellow acid weavings and liquid atonal elegance. Compared to the first cut, ‘Kriptic Message’ definitely delivers a more techno journey which still preserves the usual drum tidiness, adding life with locked, melodic dub arpeggios. ‘Turned Away’ displays a nervous but mystic mood featuring temporary lamenting synth lines and oscillating hats, drums, and minor basses. ‘Spinning Sideways’, on the contrary, spread a celestial, positive funk vibe which articulates through warm ambient atmospheres, major melodic arpeggios and trippy, always evolving musical components.

Frequency VS Atkins - Mind Merge

First track of Terrence Dixon fifth album '12,000 Miles Of Twilight', a 21 tracks work forthcoming by the end of June.

The Detroit legend has been putting out material since the mid Nineties. Recognized worldwide for his visionary, futuristic sound, Dixon unites ages of inspiration traversing diverse musical styles including electro, jazz and minimal sci-fi techno. As for his previous productions, ‘12,000 Miles Of Twilight’ remains an experimental techno asset offering many tonalities of sound, and provoking an array of emotion and sentiment. The album offers a non-linear, emotionally absorbing journey into the singular experimental edge of the Detroit artist, pulling the listener in all kind of directions from the opening track to the closing finale.

This overall hypnotic approach can also be seen in his parallel project Population One, which appeared on Out-ER respectively in early 2016 with two-tracker solo ‘Temporary Insanity EP’, as well as in late 2016 with ‘Temporary Insanity Remixes’ which saw the label offering reinterpretations from Cosmin TRG, Pangaea, Voiski and label co-founder Simone Gatto.

The artwork features photographs taken from a multi media installation work built by London based artist James Winter. The construct was built in Winter’s studio in London – fabricated by hand using polyurethane coated MDF, glass and fluorescent tubes with ballast. Images were subsequently projected direct on to the piece, and the entire installation was then photographed – resulting in a set of images art directed by both Dixon and Winter.

Distant Echoes has been building a name in the last few years since he debuted on the Dystopian label in 2014 and toured all around the world, yet, he’s been producing and playing electronic/house/techno music since almost two decades. As Out-ER co-founder, he previously released music before the beginning of his bond with Dystopian. In the last years, while Distant Echoes has mostly focused on releasing on Dystopian, Out-ER has indeed expanded its range of collaborations worldwide, by putting out music from Juan Atkins, Orlando Voorn, Terrence Dixon and more. 

Distant Echoes now readies the first installment on his own label with his newest moniker, showcasing his typical sound: deep, intense grooves and gloomy soundscapes crafted with exceptional productional accuracy. “Rough Waves” is to be released on vinyl and digital at the end of February.

Next up on Out-ER is Inland, aka Ed Davenport, an artist who has long been a friend of the label and whose powerful techno sound is a perfect fit. His three originals come with a remix by Tresor and Tiercel artist BNJMN. 

Inland has collaborated with Out-ER for some time now, contributing as a remixer and was involved in their events in Italy, Germany and Holland, from label showcases to workshops and panel discussions. He’s released on the likes of Ostgut Ton, Nonplus+, and runs his own Counterchange label, which recently celebrated its 10th release.

Up first is the perfectly driving ‘R-13’, with a concrete bass-end down low and celestial synth patterns up top. The train-track percussion locks in the momentum, while the beautiful waves of sine wave bleeps keep your heart and head closely connected. 

Flipping the vibe completely is ‘Eminent Domain’, a surging old-school indebted ride, with its hypnotic mutating synths, overdriven percussion and icy hats. It’s a majestic track followed-up by ‘Planitia’, a more twisted modernist techno cut with turbulent synths wrought with tension and steel plated drums hitting hard. Glassy harnonic layers add colour resulting in an utterly absorbing trip.

Long time friend BNJMN has a unique take on melody and texture in his work, proven by a series of excellent LPs and EPs on labels like Rush Hour, Tresor and his own Tiercel imprint. Here he flips ‘R-13’ into an eerie, loopy dub with slithering synths and distant bell drones fluttering in and out of the mix. The layered drums add real dynamism to this floating yet intense interpretation that closes out an EP of inventive modern techno.

New Yorker electronic producer DJ Spider is back on Italy's Out-ER with a muggy, abstract techno release 'Human Erosion Field EP', similarly to its debut 'V EP', released in September 2017 and produced in featuring with his longtime friend Phil Moffa. 

Italian label Out-ER presents its twenty-sixth release continuing to explore the diverse musical path between house, techno and experimental electronic - which appears in most cases on Out-ER's sub-label Pregnant Void. 'Human Erosion Field EP' otherworldly showcases both a radiant take on electronic as well as gloomy and wild-eyed pieces, an aesthetic approach for which DJ Spider has been most known in the scene. Overlooking to the style of the tracks, the release does contain a sinister mood and a dense, solid sense of groove overall, a typical recurring feature of the producer's previous outputs.

If the first track ‘Wicked Priest’ and the B-side opener ‘Jinn’ display an inclination for bright, glossy elements - from dubbed-out ambients to the Detroit-inspired ethereal pads - yet united with crunchy slithering turmoil, the A2 ‘When They Return’ definitely let one get in an introspective perspective, a drone nightmare transferring spacey tension and inner looseness. B2 ‘Mountain Melter’ and B3 ‘Pleiadian Agenda’ are the wildest stomping tracks of the pack, as distorted crazed tripping, obsessive rhythm structures and anxious background dreams take over. 

The release is out in September 2018 on 12" and digital download formats - it features two additional digital-only remixes by DJ Spider's trusted collaborators Bleaching Agent, currently affiliated with Mira, Komisch, Opal Tapes, and Vohkinne, owner of Atrophic Society Records.
