Ukong Mering, a Kayan, Orang Ulu, age 60 and from Belaga, Sarawak, Borneo.
A sape master craftmen and a traditional sape player having good time testing and soundchecking on his 30yrs old sape. Surprisingly the string are the one use for fishing..a steel string. So we do a test recording with the steel string and a normal no brand name pick up.
