Lest you hadn’t caught the thread, Collaborations, with a capital C are the name of the ‘POD3’ game. Following a string of album-initiating, floor-commanding singles, early March sees ‘Politics 3’ flip its fourth co-op card. Having already teamed up with Ummet Ozcan, Aly & Fila and others, ‘Louder’ finds Paul van Dyk sharing studio time with that most Balearically minded of men, Roger Shah.
Adding to ‘Louder’s already exotic equation is Australian-born/Singapore-raised/Manhattan-based singer Daphne Khoo. Collectively the three have come up with something that’s as irrepressibly catchy and spirit-filled, as it is floor intoxicating.

A PvD/Roger Shah studio team-up has been a long discussed waiting-to-happen for the pair. Only through the genesis of ‘The Politics of Dancing 3’ though has that collaboration finally reached fruition.
A departure from the trancier ethics of recent singles ‘Guardian’ & ‘Only In A Dream’, the Club Mix delivers something designed to light the upcoming festival season up brighter-than-bright. Daphne Khoo, a first season finalist on Singapore Idol and no stranger to the stage, is the songstress that brings ‘Louder’ its head-rush ebullience.

Adding some trance shades & grades to ‘Louder’s release, the first two remixes come courtesy of PvD’s VANDIT Records lieutenants Maarten de Jong & Ben Nicky. Netherlander de Jong hikes the furnace levels up to ‘big ‘n’ blistering’, distilling marching drums, tech-fried FX and rave-ish riffs into his mix. A keen balance of the harmonic and the euphoric, Ben Nicky ups ‘Louder’s uplift ante no end, giving it loads of warp, squelch and pitch wheel fury for good measure.
Avalanching the atmosphere still further, Hungarians Myon & Shane 54 draw the worlds of house & trance creatively together with an M1 piano-led ride. Maximising the emotion of Daphne’s vocal, their Summer of Love Remix is less of the feel-good and more of the feel-great!

Maracaido Records is always on the lookout for new talent, and this time the label introduces one of Mexico's talent Alex Djohn. 
Beautiful and uplifting is the way to define 'Daydream'. An epic melody submerged with intense harmonic pads, surrounding choirs and flamboyant leads. An outstanding debut from Alex who's sure to be a name to look out for.
The Remix delivers no other than Vandit Records uprising star Maarten De Jong. With his unique sound he delivers a real smasher.

Leeds based brotherly duo Stuart and Ben Turner has burst onto the scene in the past 18 months, and their tough tech-trancer Knightfall rises as a contender for one of the anthems of 2015.

Striking a chord with Markus Schulz with their previous effort Blackgate, the Arkham Knights were invited to contribute something exclusive to the Coldharbour boss' Ministry of Sound Trance Nation CD.

Not only does it play a starring role on the compilation, but has been an ever-present in Markus' livesets since summer's tail-end. Matching a euphoric melody with menacing percussion, Knightfall lands perfectly for the winter season.

The trance world has been fortunate of late to be treated to a slew of releases from Armin, and this week we have yet another stunning production premiered on ASOT just a few weeks ago. Featuring the glorious topline of Ana Criado 'Suddenly Summer', as the title suggest will teleport you to the golden sands of Ibiza, as it gently warms the soul with delicate vocals, and mind-clearing melodies. The essence of this (as with many Armin tracks) is the core piano arrangement, which could stand up as a classical piece of work in its own right.
