Dutch upstart Epsie pulls a rabbit, or maybe a Roland, from the hat with Rule of Thumb, a
debut EP that’s as wobbly and wide-eyed as a warehouse party at the early morning
hours. It’s a small marvel of mangled synth wizardry and chopped-to-hell drum patterns
that somehow stay locked tighter than your last three-day weekend. There’s a charming
messiness to it all.

“Fedde” kicks things off with a percussive punch to the frontal lobe, big-room bravado
laced with a subtle wink. “Electric” takes a left turn down acid alley, tripping over a
broken beat and landing in a puddle of molten 303 line. But nothing here feels tacked on
or stitched together post-hangover; it’s all curiously cohesive, like chapters in a fever
dream authored by a bedroom producer with a dusty sequencer and an interstellar
agenda.

Nostalgic without being derivative, danceable without chasing a trend, Rule of Thumb is
fit for all forms of dancing, and the roof tops that dare to hold it.

Fresca Recs is here to bring the juice and bubbles. Close pals Hazr (Magic Carpet) and Velvet Velour (Silky Beats) have joined forces to bring a fresh new vinyl series, delivering unreleased music from their favourite producers.

To kick things off they’ve invited one of the smoothest cats to ever do it- Seafoam. West Coast goodness in its finest form. If you’ve been digging for deep house then you’ll have certainly had your ears graced by the airy, brain soothing frequencies of Brian Cavender at some point or another.

Smooth operator Lamalice is back on Anthea’s Partisan label with Dysproprioception, a four-track release that leans into the French producer’s talent for atmospheric club tools. Driven by rhythm, serious swing, and a heavy low-end, the record moves with an effortless flow that pulls dancers deeper into its groove. 
While vocal fragments fade like half-remembered conversations, acidic flourishes sharpen the edges. Each track balances functionality with mood, providing DJs with tools that lock the floor while carrying their own character — these are weapons for the floor. 
The spotlight falls on B1, “CONTROL”, where Lamalice weaves his own vocals into a beautiful stripped framework — a cut already making its presence felt on the dancefloor. 
The title may suggest disoriented perception, but what emerges most clearly is Lamalice’s precision: rhythm and movement honed into hypnotic form. A debut that deepens Partisan’s catalogue with music that’s tough, fluid, and deeply grooved

Uno de sus mixtapes es seleccionado por “Soul Clap (Wolf+Lamb, Crosstown Rebels)” para ser publicado en el blog de dichos artitstas. Eli y Charlie lo definen alli como “Un prodigio del Dijing”. 
Ciertamente nada alejado de la realidad LM continua entonces a marcar una fuerte pauta dentro de la escena nacional, con una seleccion musical marcada por exclusivos archivos en 12”, sellos de culto como: Perlon, Dance Mania, Playhouse, etc) combinado con una impecable y clasica tecnica, como si se tratase de un veterano del rubro. Dicho esta por grandes representantes y reconocidos artistas dentro del espectro quienes lo apoyan asi como seguidores, criticos y personajes del “underground” global. Sin lugar a dudas el futuro tiene su nombre en la lista.

Emidio Falconi, better known as Baffa is a Venezuelan Dj /Producer now residing in Barcelona, Spain. His music is characterized by its roots on Techno and House, fluctuating between the classic sound and the Avant Garde of these genres. 

Baffa´s musical incursions started at very young age, working as mobile DJ around Caracas, he was playing all sorts of popular music at the time, but felt strongly attracted to electronic music and club culture specifically when genres like Techno and Drum & Bass exploded in his native country around 1998. Following this new found calling, Baffa pursued a career as a Techno Dj, landing his first residency at the well known Venezuelan music hub “La Belle Époque”.

Around this time he was already a skilled DJ and so he was invited to become part of the band “Sur Carabela”, a musical project that broke through the Venezuelan mainstream audience by its unique take on electronic/experimental genres as trip hop, hip hop, techno and ambient. With this project Baffa gained even wider recognition, with music videos aired at MTV Latin America and presentations around the continent.

An important aspect of his career include his title obtained as Audio Engineer in 2002, that allowed him to kick start a side career on audio production with several credits as music composer and sound designer for important clients such as Coca Cola, Mc Donald’s, HBO Ole, AXN, Sony Entertainment Television among others.

Other milestones on Baffa´s career include his work on other musical project known as “Chucknorris”, which allowed him once again to work with other recognized musicians on stage to bring a fusion of electronic music, Latin folk, and rock. These incursions proved to be successful with nominations to MTV Video Music Awards and touring around Latin America in the year 2006.

Even so he continued to keep himself busy in multiple musical affairs, Baffa remained relevant on the club culture by being one of the founder members of the techno collective “Teklab”, with whom he helped push other unexplored genres as minimal techno and electro, throwing popular parties and touring around his country. Also his name was being spread internationally with several productions on labels as Safari Electronique, Stimulus Recordings, Regular Records among others. International stars as Richie Hawtin, Mark Henning, Audiofly, Paul Mac, Ade Fenton & Umek among others supported his solo productions.

In 2009 Baffa left his beloved Venezuela due to its increasing political problems and decided to relocate to Barcelona, Spain. Here after Djing and exploring the local circuit a little bit he resumed his production work releasing for local labels as 4Line recordings, Regular Music, Elevation Recordings and Akbal Music. 

He was soon joined by fellow Venezuelan ex-pat Moreon to create the collaboration project “Moreon & Baffa”. A project that they conceived to be an amalgamation of all the electronic sounds that have influenced their dj careers fused with some of their Latin heritage to produce musical material that fit their vision of good club music.

The Moreon & Baffa project has gained traction on the international scene, due to several releases in labels such as Visionquest, No.19, Social Experiments, Subwax and their own imprint Budare. And a string of live presentations including their residency on the off-sonar IR festival, a recent South America tour and their own Boiler Room broadcast.
