From somewhere that is nowhere, traumgarten presents Virgin Forest – 21 sonic renditions of unadulterated beauty emerging from their cocoons for the first time. Insulated from the dogma of mass consciousness, every track is its own unique sanctuary, yielding only to the creative urges of its maker. Our second benefit compilation harvests the dreams of globally and cosmically diverse protagonists, with otherworldly sounds spanning the spectrum, from ambient meditations and percussive tribal fantasia to bass heavy club concoctions and glitched-out grooves. An ode to parallel universes, dormant desires, and all the unexplored paths of our finite existence.

All proceeds from this compilation will be split between three organisations: Alianza Arkana, a grassroots organization committed to the protection, development and wellbeing of the Peruvian Amazon and the indigenous Shipibo-Konibo peoples; Everyday Refugees, a foundation that aids refugees, local communities, and people internally displaced by war; and Bridges Over Borders, a community-based collective offering support to BIPoC, LGBTQIA+, and other marginalised individuals fleeing Ukraine.

Front cover artwork and 3D printed amulets by Delphine Lejeune, a visual artist specialising in 2D and 3D printed surfaces. Her curiosities lie within designed objects, and how they critically shape our social behaviours. All tracks mastered by Dave Miller and Jonas Körbl at Audiosculpture.

Hey, here’s a theory: couldn’t we distort it sometimes, even just a tiny bit? Because Lyon-based label SousTraitance may have finally managed to alter its course through its last compilation, a year and a half after the inaugural one.
“Looking for MTH” V/A successively stretches and contracts the passing time, or at least how we perceive it. Lose yourself in the tempo fluctuations and audio glitches, between the slow, entrancing rites of Jan Loup, Israfil and Sabla, the atmospheric dilatations of Isabassi, Marion Castor and Inhmost, or the high-paced, feverish, raging outbursts of Tera Octe, Loïcc and Tadan.

It serves as a preview of his upcoming EP by the same name on Midgar in mid-April, coinciding with the label's 9th anniversary. The title is inspired by the phenomenon of recognizing familiar patterns in random objects, which Priori artfully incorporates into his sound design. Imagine anthropomorphic water droplets ascending to a higher plane of existence.
