“Helios is Dead“ is an international producer/ and DJ duo whose dark and industrial sounds are aiming to rethink and break the prominent patterns.

The group was founded in 2015 by two producers from Sweden and Germany, both having their roots in the industrial hardcore scene. Both members of the duo started getting into music production very early in their lives, starting around 2008-2010. They found each other on SoundCloud and realized that they were sharing the same thoughts and views in the scene and started building a friendship which eventually lead them to stop their solo work and create “Helios is Dead“ as their shared outlet to be creative and develop a sound they were missing in their musical environment.

While releasing music on powerful labels such as Eclipse Recordings, Hard Electronic, Traumatic and others, their music was described as “a firestorm of industrial hard techno“ and the group being a “genre-defying, forward-minded entity“.

In early 2020, the duos debut album “Sun/Dawn/Nothing“ was released into the world. It is the product of half a year of constant work in the studio, remodelling and reinventing their sound, to bring something new to the table. It was well-received by big names in both the industrial hardcore and techno scene. Its goal is to put out a statement of what Helios is Deads sound is about.

But Helios is Dead is not only about creating and playing music. The group members take pride in their do-it-yourself mentality, producing every track from scratch, not recycling sounds but also in creating most of their covers, videos and promotional material for releases.

Helios is Dead is rising, and has not planned on going anywhere else besides the top.

Julien Cuenin aka KRUMBLE The Discobreaker (Znootpoch/PeaceOff/Damage/Jungle Therapy/In Vitro/Death$ucker) is one of the most powerful hardcore junglist from France with a strong DJ background. He has been prolific in the jungle / breakcore scene since 2000 and has been touring Europe as both DJ and live act, bringing high-energy everywhere from illegal rave parties and basement shows to large festivals (Bangface weekender, Boomtown, Glade festival...)! In 2007, Krumble produced his famous "GHOST TOWN" remix from The Specials on ZNOOTPOCH Records (four years before Ed Solo and Deekline's Ghost Town) and released numerous EP's on several highly acclaimed labels such as Peace Off, Damage, Jungle Therapy, Deathsucker, Murder Channel or Ad Noiseam. Constantly mixing jungle-dancehall-reggae beats, heavy basslines, ragga samples, complex-edit drum programming’s and old school amen breaks, his performances have been critically acclaimed for their utterly dancefloor mash-up of sounds. So be prepared for a very unique jungle experience!

Growing up in the hiphop scene HEISA aka Nour Fawzi bought a drumcomputer at a very early age and this quickly became quite the passion. In 1996 he first heard acid music and a lifetime love affair with obscure electronic music and especially the production of it was born.
From 1999 the dutch freeparty scene was an enormous influence and by 2002 started doing livesets on these parties.
That same year he released a 12″ record with some friends and from then on it became his mission to push his own limits en develop his skill set. Time passed and he quickly became quite an avid producer. In the studio as well as live he was turning heads.
By the time it was 2008 he was playing in big clubs and freeparties.
Producing a lot of styles of electronic music around 2012 he started on his first full length IDM album. Being picked up by mindtrick records it was released on 2×12″, CD and digital. In 2015 he was invited to play a massive freeparty in france and it was such a succes that the alias HEISA was born.
Now a 2 years later HEISA has been picked up by Obs.cur kicking off the Void sublabel, been playing live back to back and is showing how somebody with 18+ years of experience does an all hardware liveset.

DJ BSR's love for electronic music started in de late eighties / eary nineties. Almost immediately he felt the need to start producing himself. He bought his first gear in 1991 and never really stopped making music.

With a strong love for the 303 sound, hardcore/gabber, acid techno and hardtrance were his main genres at that time.
Nowadays he doesnt think too much in genres, but if asked, he would probably say techno. But the past inspires him till this very day, so that's what you will hear in most of his music. Whether it's in his own productions or his mixes. A combination of the past and modern sound. Coming from the heart, made with full of passion and the way he wants it to sound. Bringing joy to himself and to others.
That will always be the drive for him to make music.
