Oasis 027 w/ Luca De-Santo

Outer Space Oasis imprint continues to carve out its own special niche in the underground world with a second EP from the Walls of Arctica duo this time. It features two original tracks and a Remix delivered by Luca De-Santo that suggest these exciting artists are all set to blow up the dance floors.

The Finnish duo is adaptable to any setting, from squats to vast outdoor raves to warehouses and intimate basements. 
Working subtle sounds and deep emotions into their originals, this EP proves that Walls of Arctica is a mindful duo with a considered and cerebral sound. It’s a main act duo and one that makes a lasting impact once it gets under your skin.

“Close Tension” is the leading one here and is six suburb minutes of powerful melodic notes and rumbling progressive elements which combines energic atmospheres around its core. The synths roam and meander with a dreamy air of their own signature.

“Breathe” is busier, with silky synths riding up and down the scale as sci-fi effects and smeared chords flesh out the already punchy kicks and drums. It’s one that takes you deep into the night with a real sense of melodic color.

Luca’s Remix on “Breathe” keeps you on edge with its nervy chords dangling above darker drums. It’s suspenseful and the sort of edit to really get you in a trance with its grand visions. In simple words it is just another masterfully melodic tune that is dreamy and zoned out, layered with lush chords and gentle thundering claps that bring a sense of narrative.
This is an exquisite EP stuffed with emotion and one that proves Walls of Arctica as being a master of progressive melody.

For this installment we bring Merdem to your attention who has landed to our imprint with a 3-tracker stunning EP called "Ex Machine" full of ethereal-synth perspective which is melting with the melodic techno-based sounds.

"Ex Machine" is composed by a diversity of sounds that allow us to perceive the harmony and the divine. A world without contrast and polarization is a blind world. The music tells us a story that begins with an engaging melody guiding our ears through a mysterious atmosphere, in which rhythmic elements are progressively presented until we reach a small break, giving us the feeling that something extraordinary will happen, then when our guiding melody suddenly disappears and darkness takes over our horizon, organic percussions and dark drones sneaky carry us to the climax of our experience: the warm touch of a rolling bass with oscillating cutoff associated with high-speed drums in a way that makes us dizzy!

"Concorde" helps us activate a state of consciousness with a continuous and mesmerizing groove and vocal, in which an initially dark and shadowy atmosphere slowly transmutes into a bright dawn.
The track explores melodic movements and strong tonalities, in a perfect combination of synth and bass, creating a melodic percussion that dictates the powerful rhythm. The result is just majestic and has alongside a Cinematic Version also.

JUNO is one of those spacecrafts to mention and this VA homages its achievements by presenting you 10 brand new tracks from the finest production talents, each with his vision to create music that endures the test of time and still sounds fantastic light years from now forward. As a melodic imprint we've wanted to put together a Various Artist release for quite some time now and thus here we are. 

Juno is a NASA space probe orbiting the planet Jupiter. Just as NASA required the precise gravitational alignment of these giant outer planets to swing its spacecraft onto the next orbit, we needed the right collection of tracks. The JUNO release had to be something very special, pushing the sound of our label forward to deliver a complete body of work that is for now and for the future. Over the past two quarters we pulled together innovative productions that encompass OSO’s core values for being fresh, exciting and inspirational. Music that explores new sonic possibilities and pushes a melodic sound full of rich layers and textures, as well as being able to fit into a complete vision and unified sound. Juno's name comes from Greek and Roman mythology. The god Jupiter drew a veil of clouds around himself to hide his mischief, and his wife, the goddess Juno, was able to peer through the clouds and reveal Jupiter's true nature.
