Michigan teenagers form rock band in high school and get back together nearly 3 decades later to record their debut, thank you…good night.

For those who may not know the back story...In 1986, I had just graduated from Swan Valley High School (Saginaw, MI). I was approached by David Baker, Steve Dorey, Tim Wiggins and Ron Schrems to join their band as lead vocalist. This became the only band I've ever been in that wrote original music. During our time together, we had one of our originals - "Take Me Away", played on Z-93's "Hometown Hero" program. A huge thrill for a group of teenagers! 

As the rest of the group graduated from high school, college life and reality set in for us all. The band eventually broke up, pursuing college degrees, careers, marriage and families, spreading us throughout Michigan and eventually beyond. Though the band was no longer, the bond of friendship remained.

Then Labor Day weekend in 2014, the topic came up of putting the band back together, only to re-record a couple of those originals from way back when. None of us anticipated the reigniting of a spark thought to be long extinguished. Spread between 3 States - MI, IL and IN, we started writing new music again and meeting up in Kalamazoo to record with Mike Schuur at Sun Spot Recording. 

Almost 30 years in the making and a dream long forgotten, has finally turned into reality with the release of our first album entitled "Thank You...Good Night" featuring David Baker - guitar/ vocals, Tim Dunn - lead vocals / guitar, Steve Dorey - guitar / vocals, Tim Wiggins - bass, Ryan Pate - drums. Lesson learned...dreams never die, sometimes the smallest spark is all it takes to reignite! It's been an incredible ride with great friends...
