Giulia Tess pulls the sonority of leftfield electronica into the side of percussive music. Codifying the variety of influences trapped within Tess is like a journey through a maze: challenging, thrilling and yet, rewarding in the end.

I am very excited to announce the awesome Ara-U as my special guest who will be featuring several of his own exclusives and new releases in his amazing electro mix!This week my show includes a recording of my set at Party People @ The Pig in Hastings last weekend. This mix is a bit different from my usual Cosmik sounds mixes as it starts on a garage / bass tip and then moves on to electro and broken Techno. It also includes a wicked track called 'No Future' by Ara-U which was recently released on the Co Accused label.

Plant is a resident selector and member of Umbilical Chords, the London-based music and arts collective known for its otherworldly and eclectic parties. Plant has spent the past few years cutting her teeth at club nights, day parties and festivals such as Secret Garden Party, Out of Body Pop and The Weekender - a homegrown festival run by Umbilical Chords and Coop Audio. Hello friends, I'm thrilled to share my Warm Hug set with you all.

Huge thanks to everyone who joined me on Friday 1st Dec for our first ever Warm Hug live experience, I’m still processing it and might be for a while. I’m really happy with how it went, it was everything I had imagined it to be, and from the feedback received, it was something that a lot of people had been longing for and needed.

There was a lot of mutual respect for each other in the space, some people were wrapped up in blankets with their eyes closed the whole way through, while others felt compelled to dance. it’s great to know that people felt that level of freedom to express themselves the way they wanted to.

’m grateful to have been able to share this vision with such open minded and supportive people, your trust means a lot. I hope you enjoyed the musical story I told, this was about me showcasing the deepest, most emotive, and most sensitive side of my playing.

I’ve longed to share this kind of music in a live setting for a while now, and finally we've created right environment for it to be appreciated to the fullest. A Warm Hug is here to stay.

I hope the whole experience had a positive effect on you, and maybe even helped release trapped emotion or helped you on your own personal healing journey that you might be going through. One thing is for sure, music is a powerful tool, and presented in this way can have wonderful and much needed calming effects on our nervous systems.

I will be doing some reflecting, and hopefully have news soon on the next Warm Hug experience.

"I loved putting this together! After-the-afters music for rolling one and floating a little longer, before drifting back down to mother earth. Every song holds a thought or a spell. I was guided by Eris Drew's writing on rave integration, a recent-ish 'Cosmic Anarchy' newsletter from Ayesha Khan, and Ursula K Le Guin's ‘carrier bag theory' of being in the world.
