I grew up listening to the radio or better said, the radio grew me musically, infected me with a visceral need to select the music I loved and tape it on cassettes. Funny the way music twists, turns, connects, and evolves, comparable to life and friendships. After many years of not visiting Montreal I found myself right back in a place surrounded by new friends and old. This is where we met Ziad and ever since we stayed in touch. 

Always sharing music Ziad passed along a podcast of Quentin (@Mareopaq). I was more than impressed really. When I showed Gab he told me he’s known Quentin for some time now,. They met a few years back and instantly connected due to their shared musical vision - meeting the @opaq-freq crew. 

When Quentin and Steve Marie created OPAQ they told themselves, and still do, we need to express fully, bring people to places they don’t expect, shock them. To make one feel something, even if that feeling is uncomfortable, anger, joy, warmth, that is their vision.

In the podcast the music is something evocative, it's mostly old but sounds new at the same time, and often the message is still relevant, a revolution of sorts. Keep your mind open, ears listening and the enjoy the r.a.v.e.

Gäbrø started playing alongside the infamous Seekers crew as a resident at Tag Club in Venice-IT when their adventure started. The lost Sunday mornings in the bliss are where he met Luca Piermattei, kicking off the Polarity Records.

Shortly after Gäbrø left Seekers and following the tragic shutdown of Tag Club, he came back to his province of Treviso to join a new adventure with a recently established collective Binario1. With them who he considers as a second family, he tried to create a new spot for the clubbing scene.

His years behind the decks have brought him alongside Margaret Dygas, Zip, Thomas Melchior, Francesco Del Garda, Praslea, Laurine, Dj Koolt, Dj Masda, Evan Baggs etc. 
Showcasing his unique skill in matching the crowds mood with the perfect record.
