UBK (Uri Brauner Kinrot’s) mix of east and west, Martin and Morrison, sends you on a psychedelic high, a journey in time and space. Presenting his first solo album titled ‘Ouzo Bazooka’, UBK emerges from his previous accomplished Balkan surf guitar-tuba-drums power trio: Boom Pam. He toured and recorded with NYC’s world punk heroes Firewater. UBK’s guitar style helped shape the influential sounds of Balkan Beat Box and Shantel, performing at major festivals such as Glastonbury (UK), Roskilde (Denmark), Exit, WOMEX, Olinkan (Mexico City), SXSW, Sines (Portugal), Global Fest (NYC).

Hell Yeah is delighted to be releasing a new album from South Wales' Secret Soul Society. Keep The Mystique is a 15-track collection of brand new curveball cuts built from lovingly sourced samples that arrives digitally and on a limited edition cassette that will follow in autumn.

The Secret Soul Society is Cal Gibson, who was one-half of Nottingham's deep house and downtempo outfit Neon Heights back in the 2000s. They served up plenty of low-key but classic sounds which Hell Yeah founder Marco has always had a real love. Since then, Gibson has released on Paper Wave Recordings and dropped an album on Slightly Transformed Recordings and co-founded Scruffy Soul Recordings while continuing to collect and play anything from the worlds of jazz, funk, Afro, beats, dub, soul and reggae. The Secret Soul Society digs into these same sound worlds and reworks them into new musical collages with a psychedelic edge, as proven by this new collection.

Ouzo Bazooka, formed in Tel Aviv, released their debut album in 2014. Since then they have gone on to release two other albums, have toured extensively around Israel and Europe, and have gained considerable critique and following. With renowned singer-songwriter, Uri Brauner Kinrot leading the band, Ouzo Bazooka's sound is a unique concoction of east meets west. Their music combines an exotic Middle-Eastern feel with psychedelic surf rock. The band are currently working on new material and are heading off to Europe again this summer to perform all over the continent.
