A respected regular on Figure / Figure SPC, from his timeless creations alongside 
Dimi Angelis, to his stunning three part ‘SPC A’, or his more recent collaboration with Markus Suckut as ‘JSMS’ - the prolific techno producer Jeroen Search returns. 

Encapsulating a trademark sound built from from classic analog hardware, fused with modern production techniques, Search offers up three upfront new tracks, backed with two snaking, distinctly modern remixes by London based techno mainstay Ø [Phase].

What begins as a casual reduced jam then evolves into an ensnaring, tense workout as ‘Momentum’ gathers exactly that - elevating and maintaining the tension. ‘The Future is Ours’ then sees Search at his meanest, with a grating, killer hook winding itself around his perfectly controlled drum machines. Precision tools for the floor from one of the masters of live, party-angled Techno. The digital bonus track ‘Remains’ sees Jeroen in a more subdued zone, working a hypnotic, Millsian line over a carefully reduced drum pattern.

Token records regular and long-running producer Ø [Phase] then remixes ‘Momentum’, turning two tripping, reduced versions leading the focus towards subliminal messages and repetitive structures. Remix 1 takes the main theme and freaks it out, swimming in a glassy pool of snappy percussion, while Remix 2 allows us to get carried away on the polar winds for a more icy, chilling version.

Italian Techno prodigies MiniCoolBoyz and NHB join forces together on this incendiary 3 track EP on their recently born label Over. A new point of reference in the underground scene worldwide, the imprint stands out as a true-to-the-roots and no-compromise music outlet: this very first release sees the guys come up with some blasting and punchy cuts, heavy-as-fuck and menacingly stomping through the speakers and the dancefloors. Opener “Over”’s skizoid synth squeals and oozing satanic atmospheres are underpinned by a gigantic kick drum and mammoth bass line; “Placebo”’s raging stabs and macabre melodies build a wall of sound as big as you can imagine, and the fat low frequencies smash through the sonic spectrum to a pumping flow of energy. Closing “Knowless” slows down momentarily the pace to a trippy vibe, and the result is a black paranoid lullaby. These cats know their tricks, and we can’t wait to hear more from this project.

MiniCoolBoyz, NHB - Knowless (Original Mix) OVER 001 snipped

Alan’s new single on Drumcode demonstrates exactly why Alan Fitzpatrick is a powerhouse within the techno scene. ‘The Tetra’ will enrapture the dance floor from the off with it’s brooding nature and syncopated claps. It pushes forwards with glistening highs before more melodic stabs join the equation and slowly the beautiful melodic phrase partakes in this outstanding piece of work. ‘We Are Forever Young’ finishes off the single with a slow burning after hour’s vibe that will keep the clubbers nodding. The third and final track ‘1992’ takes us back and has a tougher more energetic feel to it. With crunchy drums, a melodic synth and a catchy vocal hook this record is another Alan Fitzpatrick masterpiece.

On Over02 they share credits with Milan’s mad man Giorgio Rusconi, one of Italy’s most eccentric character and crazy beat maker, for an ambitious EP of elegant inspired Techno.They join forces together just after their hit "Dante'ss View" got support in some of the biggest festival worldwide during the festive period, reaching the top 5 on beatport techno chart. “Panacea” is stammeringly loopy, full of industrial sounds and hammering noises; it grinds away, full-bodied, making for a journey with the dancefloor firmly in mind and taking the vibe of the club to the next level. “NineVolts” boasts a characteristic 4/4 thump and evolving analogue stabs; a menacing bouncy cut, its melodic and percussive feel resonates loud and proud. The new NHB & MiniCoolBoyz platform OVER had an amazing start in this 2014 and and off course the expectance for this third release are very high. We could not deliver something better than this amazing two track ep from the top spanish duo "Gabriel D'or & Bordoy", supported with a magic NHB Remix. The bad guys deliver once again two real dance floor breakers, both infused with an astonish sound made of a magic fusion between detroit and old school techno, where groove and modern rhythms find always the proper space. "Paladia" find solidity thanks the a strong and concrete beat, the raw percussions are perfectly matched with the hypnotic synth line, dark vocals and a long break leave no space for discussion. Just drop it and feel the dance floor taking fire. The second track "Tunel de seda" decides instead to pervade the most deep part of the brain, it's indeed a more mental piece of techno, where a sublime work of sound design takes the correct hype with the sharp stab and the rough percussive elements. "Tunel de seda" could not ask more than this magic NHB Remix, a big room track that promises to find place in many djs bag for the second part of this 2014. Here big reverbs, the hammer kick and a perfect baseline take over the control, creating the correct mood for any festival and big party. The long breakdown will take your crowd by hand towards a trip of no return. A real must have !

Gabriel D'Or & Bordoy - Paladia

Joris Voorn returns with another sterling release on his Green label. I Ran The Zoo is a lesson in stripped-back contrast and subtlety, with an acidic groove bleeping away over driving percussion and delicate atmospherics in its Digital Version, the tension growing with every thud of the kick drum. A dizzying breakdown raises the bar with snare rolls and dramatic pads, with the wide-open space therein soon sucked back into the void when the beat drops back in.

Meanwhile the special Analog Version harks back to Joris’ techno sound of old. The throbbing kick and bass and acid blips are set against rising, white-noise drenched synth swells and simple percussion to create something moody and tough yet teasingly pared back.

These two heads-down mixes make this release a stark contrast to some of his more melodic, riff-fuelled releases of late, once again demonstrating Joris' endless versatility and shape-shifting abilities.

After solemnly closing out the SPC-series in 2016, Jeroen Search hands in his second EP of the year for Figure. Carrying his signature style, these tunes embody the live-recording feel he is known for, perfectly executed and arranged in clean-cut layers.

Both tracks on the A-side feature big and beefy beats, their generous sub-range creating ample space for the juxtaposing elements to effectively slice through, whether it be the penetrating bleeps of ‘Deduced’ or the piercing rides on ‘Interval’.

Things get bumpy on the flip when the rugged but undeniable groove of ‘Steady Pulse’ firmly stands its ground against repeated onslaughts of flailing percussion. The jolty rhythms and tinkling loops of ‘Endless Circles’ may seem like it being the odd one out, but unexpectedly merge into an intricate mesh of sounds, making for a most memorable closer to this jam-packed EP.

OVER is the brainchild of the superb duo NHB & MiniCoolBoyz and it aims to be a new point of reference for the Techno and Underground scene worldwide.
The concept at the basis of this new massive project is simple, quality.
It will be expressed in an ambivalent way, on one side the production of top notch releases and on the other the deliver of innovative and inspiring SAMPLE LIBRARIES that will see the light periodically over the months of the year.
