OVER 001 - MiniCoolBoyz and NHB - That's OVER!

Italian Techno prodigies MiniCoolBoyz and NHB join forces together on this incendiary 3 track EP on their recently born label Over. A new point of reference in the underground scene worldwide, the imprint stands out as a true-to-the-roots and no-compromise music outlet: this very first release sees the guys come up with some blasting and punchy cuts, heavy-as-fuck and menacingly stomping through the speakers and the dancefloors. Opener “Over”’s skizoid synth squeals and oozing satanic atmospheres are underpinned by a gigantic kick drum and mammoth bass line; “Placebo”’s raging stabs and macabre melodies build a wall of sound as big as you can imagine, and the fat low frequencies smash through the sonic spectrum to a pumping flow of energy. Closing “Knowless” slows down momentarily the pace to a trippy vibe, and the result is a black paranoid lullaby. These cats know their tricks, and we can’t wait to hear more from this project.

On Over02 they share credits with Milan’s mad man Giorgio Rusconi, one of Italy’s most eccentric character and crazy beat maker, for an ambitious EP of elegant inspired Techno.They join forces together just after their hit "Dante'ss View" got support in some of the biggest festival worldwide during the festive period, reaching the top 5 on beatport techno chart. “Panacea” is stammeringly loopy, full of industrial sounds and hammering noises; it grinds away, full-bodied, making for a journey with the dancefloor firmly in mind and taking the vibe of the club to the next level. “NineVolts” boasts a characteristic 4/4 thump and evolving analogue stabs; a menacing bouncy cut, its melodic and percussive feel resonates loud and proud. An astonishing work of sound design does the rest of the job.

Digging deeper we find Etai Tarazi, Young Bad Twins and DJ Cristiao bringing some old school vibes revamped for 2014 and Richie Santana sliding and diving through a hypnotic number.<br />
