Over The Hedge Music is a specialist boutique record label and music publishing company currently specifically representing, promoting and publishing the songs of Alex Moran.

Alex Moran was born in London in 1984. Throughout his childhood and teen years he and his family moved around frequently from Warwickshire, to Brisbane to Adelaide, Australia. Alex studied English Literature at the University of Adelaide, were he started singing, writing and learning guitar. He decided to return to UK and Edinburgh in 2006.
 
Moran first began as a solo artist; intent to learn and develop his craft of songwriting. He initially performed at open mics and small venues then moved onto larger shows at Barrowlands 2 in Glasgow and The Jam House in Edinburgh. However, Alex began to feel a number of his songs would benefit from accompaniment so The Seven Deadly Sins started to emerge.
 
Although a number of high profile shows soon followed; Glasgow’s Barfly and Edinburgh’s Cabaret Voltaire, The Seven Deadly Sins didn’t start to truly find their feet as a band until 2010, when the initial line up of Kevin Turner, Euan Fullarton & Callum Norris gave the band a real sense of stability. This helped Moran’s writing, depth and confidence, seen in the development in his work from ‘Work Me Like a Dog’ to ‘21st Century Man’ to ‘I Hate The Smell of a Rat’ to ‘Dandelion Tea’.
 
The Seven Deadly Sins have recorded in London and at Ca Va Sound in Glasgow, where their debut EP ‘Misery Lake’ was recorded, mixed and mastered. The group have played a number of acclaimed venues in Edinburgh and Glasgow from King Tuts Wah Wah to Liquid Room having supported a number of national and international touring acts.
 
Alex Moran is at a very exciting point in his career and we are very pleased and proud to be able to publish his excellent songs.
