Non-Aftergore BtERtD 5/5 of the Undying April event!

Hopeless is a roleshift AU inspired by the harsh aesthetic of Underfell. The harshness of the character's personalities altered the events following the human-monster conflict, leading to an underground riddled with disarray. That said, at their core everyone is still the classic characters you know and love, even if it's a little harder to see that than usual.

Papyrus takes the Undyne role, leading the Royal Guard in his mentor's absence. Always looking up to her, he models his leadership skills after her, and as a result has to put on a harsh persona.

Furtherfell is an AU, split into several branches, portraying the various hypothetical neutral endings of the 'canon' Underfell. In this instance, 'canon' refers to the version on Tumblr, created by the infinitely talented Fella. They don't actually consider it canon, but for Furtherfell it most certainly is. It is inspired by the concept of Aftergore, though only in concept and not in execution. Our story follows a human by the name of Hare, entering a world they do not understand, that has been forever changed by the actions of someone they've never even met.
We won't be 100% accurate to Underfell; some elements may be changed, either due to a lack of information or just due to us wanting something to differ.

"Furtherfell - Rethroned" follows on from an incomplete pacifist ending. Toriel comes out of hiding, and establishes herself as “Mother” of the underground, making swift changes to how things work. She maintains a strict rule, attempting to prevent another reign of tyranny. Humans are to be treated with kindness, and to be delivered to the Queen.

Mettaton is back (and he keeps his role)! With a new body, his cousin by his side and a somehow even larger audience to please, he knows this needs to be bigger than ever. So prepare for more Drama! More Romance! And potentially even a little Bloodshed too, though he insists he won't be harming the human.

Papyrus takes the role of Undyne! After Undyne was demoted, he took the rank of captain of the Royal Guard, appointed by Toriel. Due to his new position, he's fallen further into his role of an edgy, almost cartoonish villain, although his kindness occasionally breaks through this. However, beneath this surface-level evil is a much more serious motivation...

[FURTHERFELL - Rethroned] The Cackling Captain (LikunMiffery)

To take a moment to properly explain the "Thirst for the Crown" collection...
Each AU will have 4. 3 will be listed as Uwa replacements, and the fourth as a Memory. They play during flashbacks that are triggered at one specific location per area. These memories tie back to Frisk's experiences in the Underground, as well as Nex's life before falling in. With that said...

Aftergore is a series of AUs taking place after Undertale's neutral endings, in which a new human enters in Frisk's wake.
Aftergore III, the Exiled Queen ending, details an ending in which only Undyne and Asgore have been killed. Toriel tried to claim the throne, but threats of a coup quickly sent her back to the Ruins. Now the Underground is in a state of instability and semi-anarchy. Humans are to be treated as...well, it's unclear right now, but it's not good.
