Overtones Records has assembled a very special release that features a series of collaborative tracks by the late, great DJ Fronter who passed away last year. The likes of label head Tony Guerra, Sean Random, Levy Sound, Moonval and Jonathan Jaramillo all contribute. 

Colombian talent DJ Fronter was a close friend of Tony Guerra and his family have given full approval for this release. He was a vital tech house talent who released on the likes of Hottrax, Stereo Productions and many more, and he is sorely missed. 

First up DJ Fronter and Levy Sound ft Moonval offer Eyez in Paradise which is an acid-laced and bumping house cut with sleazy vocals. So 2night is by DJ Fronter, Levy Sound feat. Sir Rivers and is a deeper cut with a melodic bassline that draws you in and plenty of slinky percussion next to some sultry vocals. DJ Fronter, Tony Guerra, Jonathan Jaramillo's Coco then brings some more house depths with slinky, acid tinged pads and crisp percussion next to the menacing vocals. Last of all, DJ Fronter, Sean Random, Tony Guerra's Get Loop is another punchy house cut with a steamy vibe and raw attitude from the edgy vocals while funky synths pump the party.

This is a great tribute to a fantastic artist.

Overtones Records shows off its superb roster with a bumper collection of news tunes on its Summer Compilation 2024.

Sugar Baby feat. Gigi Mendez by Alberto Dimeo & label boss Tony Guerra opens up with some tropical house vibes and busy percussive layers. Llego Papá from Jonathan Jaramillo is a more tight house shuffler with freaky vocals, People Go feat. Xavier Michel by Cour T. is a nice and heady sound with balmy pads and Les Falta by Kofla.

Elsewhere there is real tribal heat on Tribal Fuego, Band&Dos track Synthesis is a driving groovy one for the middle of the night, Javi Reina, Jesus Fernandez give us Goza which is a pumpin' tech house cut, and Franklyn Watts, Schade, Swavé go big with Huevo which is a percussive, Latin tinged tribal house sound and Function from Alex Phillipp is another richly layered house sound that is steamy and sure to get the crowd in a sweat. More red hot house gems come from Junior Souza, Hyde, Fenky, Gabriel Hernandez and Diego Lopez and last of all, Ice Gold by Ogawa (US) shuts down with some deeper, more stripped back and infectious drums that have great swing.

This label has always dealt in unique house sounds from across a tasteful spectrum and this fulsome selection proves that beyond doubt once more.
