The next release on Libero comes from Honduras-based duo, Superchip. They've delivered a blistering EP containing three originals accompanied by remixes from Alessandro Diruggiero and Martin OCCO.

The title track ‘Say Yeah’ gets things off to an upbeat start, loaded with a plethora of signature Libero traits. Punchy kicks and shuffled percussion are met by a robust low-end and tied up with a catchy vocal hook. Injection of offbeat fills and clap rolls throughout to give it a unique and unpredictable personality, making it a statement track.

The first of two remixes comes from label regular, Alessandro Diruggiero. Switching things up with a darker flavour, focusing on hard-hitting low-frequency sound. The combination of a pounding kick and rumbling sub-bass is the perfect companion for driving synths and that captivating vocal.

Martin OCCO follows up with his adaptation of the title track, including his signature skippy percussion. Taking the energy and rhythm of
the original and pumping it with a long, roaring bassline - adding even more atmosphere.

‘Make Me Feel’ is bursting with momentum. Upbeat from the word go, this high-tempo roller features more of Superchip’s innate ability to combine simple rhythmic elements creatively and dust it off with a nostalgic vocal for maximum effect. Climatic builds and thunderous drops give this track a real standout factor.

The release comes to a close with ‘Ameno’, changing the vibe from its predecessors. Skipping hats and rich kicks glide in and out of a rhythmic bassline and pulsing synth stabs, making it a track with a big emphasis on groove and giving it that ‘want to dance’ element. Signing off with a
real touch of class, Superchip shows the depths of their varied productive talent.

As every year this Various Artists will mark our honest tribute to the infamous Sonar and Off-Sonar week, which takes place at the beauty and sunny Barcelona. Obviously this year for all-known reasons we are going to celebrate such an intense week surrounded by our closest friends and family at our homes. With 6 tracks and making a firm bet in quality over quantity Omar Deaz opens things with 'Dubbler'. The Miami based artist after his Bump Cut debut, drops a great cut combining a bouncy bass line with a hip-hop styled vocal. Next up, we welcome back Dmitri Saidi and his 'People Coming' signed side to side with Jesus Nava. This one is an actual tech-house composition with crispy hats and great riser effects on the breakdowns. As third track, Sanchez & Narvaez drops 'Just a Bit', a classy cut that converges in the point where tech and house meet. The deep chords and the slightly driven 909 kick are without any doubt the main characters of the composition. Timid Boy and 'Hot Hot Hot' offers us a musical journey combining arpeggiated synths with raw beats. As fifth one, Knober and Jaime Soeiro's 'Wishes' offers a peak-time weapon for tech-house heads. Last but not least, debuting on Roush, the spaniard Aitor Astiz closes the EP with 'Like This'.

Ovidi started to develop his skills as music creator, beginning his studies of musical production, which granted him important knowledge that would help him to dominate the intricacies of Ableton afterwards. Managing to edit his first EP in 2008, it was the turning point for Adlert, after which different renowned collectives and DJs started playing his tracks, getting to be heard at venues as iconic as Space Ibiza.

The life of Ovidi Adlert has been driven by steadiness and hard work since the first stages. Thanks to his musical productions, he managed to draw the attention of certain Canadian DJ collective, that wanted him as remixer. Adlert saw the chance of opening his own path in a new market and got booked for some dates in the North American country. Although his first visit to Canada wasn’t completely as he expected due to bureaucratic issues, this opportunity opened the doors of venues such as Footwoork, Comfort Zone or The River Gambler (all in Toronto, Canada) as well as some Boat Parties, later on. 

Besides his Canada appearances, Adlert has performed in Spain’s best clubs and venues: elrow (Barcelona), Florida 135 (Fraga), Spook and Hotel 82 (Valencia), Revival (Alicante), Under Club (Madrid) or Mediterránea Festival (Almería), among others.Among his long lists of works, we find hits as ‘1996 Visions’ (Kaluki), ‘Technical Problems’ (Material Vinyl), ‘Night Invaders’ (Darkside) or the most recent ‘Wicked’ (Cr2 Records), ‘After Heroes’ (Street Groove) or ‘90’s Movement’ (Underground Audio). Thanks to his mind set as producer, he’s gained the support of artists such as Richy Ahmed, Patrick Topping or Jamie Jones, people that has seen and felt the attitude and quality of his music.With his proactive, enterprising, humble and fresh character Ovidi – and those who bet for him – will reach the highest marks in charts and dancefloors alike.
