Well-established French label Happiness Therapy will be celebrating three years of releases this February. To commemorate such a milestone, the imprint will be releasing a nine-track VA in the form of 3 Years of Happiness. Featured guests include DJOKO and B From E, whilst several firm label favourites also appear on the VA, teaming up to produce a set of exclusive collaborations.

“After these wonderful first three years of existence, and the recent success of Jesse Bru’s album on the label, I wanted to give it back to our fans by releasing our biggest project to date!” - Simon Blondeau aka Crowd Control.

Each track embodies the Happiness Therapy ethos through and through, as does each artist’s relationship with the label. From Crowd Control's maiden release in 2018, to DJOKO’s soon-to-be debut, the family feel runs deep: resulting in a compilation of feel-good, house-inspired musical goodness that encapsulates just what Happiness Therapy is about !

Next up in the OSO:DEN we welcome BOON! 

Born and raised in North London, Boon started DJ’ing after being hooked on the music he was hearing being played in the capitals thriving underground scene. 

Holding down residencies on various pirate radio stations, leading him into the club / rave scene and learning the trade of DJ’ing at legendary venues such as Bagleys + The Cross. 

Following a few years away from the scene, Boon returned but this time cutting his teeth into the production side of the industry, mentored by pioneering DJ / Producer Karl ‘Tuff E Nuff’ Brown. He has since gone on to have a string of releases on various labels such as Quantize, Plastik People, Uni-Fi and Raising Records. 

In his DJ sets he brings his own brand of house music, blurring the lines of soulful, deep, minimal and garage house music, gracing the decks in many of London and Ibiza’s most respected venues and events along the way! 

Big up BOON! This mix is FYAAAH!

In September 2018, Chat Noir Distribution released the first volume
of its House de France compilation. This release consisted of 21 tracks : 13 already released on different French labels and 8 exclusive titles from artists such as Bellaire, Groove Boys Project, Alva, Too Many Cars, Avorton, OHES, Matthieu Faubourg or Bwi-Bwi. This first volume was a big success with over 2,000,000 streams, 1,600 titles sold
digitally and more than 300 vinyls.
Since then, the French scene kept developping & reinventing itself and new faces have emerged within this artistic bubbling. Career development of some artists presented on the first volume leads us to believe that this project makes more sense than ever. It is a panorama of the parties involved within the new French scene.
Chat Noir Rec. is therefore very proud to announce the forthcoming release of the second volume of this compilation. The main goal remains the same (to highligh the new french scene) but the shape of it changes somewhat. This new project will include 16 exclusive titles in digital and will be accompanied by the release of a «Vinyl Sampler» which will include 6 titles from the digital version. Tracklisting is inspired by the mixed compilations from the 90’s: it is built like a DJ set with an evolution and coherent sequences between the tracks. We will use a promo mix which will feature the initial tracklisting with the mixed titles in order to promote the release.
The project aims to show the diversity of the new French house scene by highlighting different sub-genres of this movement: ambient, deephouse, tech-house, acid, minimal, italodisco, electrofunk… The artists present on this compilation represent the future of our scene and we are very proud to push them forward.
