Let That Go is a rallying cry and support for anyone - myself included - who needs to find trust in themselves to let go of things, beliefs, people, places, jobs, etc. that may not align or support your best life. It takes courage to let go. At the time, I had to let go of some friends, social groups, and habits to gain some clarity about my own life. Yoga, and other meditative practices, approaches gaining clarity by doing less of what obstructs it in the first place. When you stop throwing stones, the ripples no longer obscure the view of what's beneath the surface. 

I wrote this YEARS ago but only recently have I become more comfortable with Studio One 6 and producing my own tracks. It took a long time (and it's still going) to learn how I can most effectively produce and release high quality tracks without painstaking redundancy or heads bashing into walls lol.

Let That Go

Hello hello, friends, fans, and family! I have for you today a song about the importance of intentional communication, and positive self-talk. Our reality is created by the words we choose to utter, for good or for bad. With that in mind, it becomes much more important to be mindful of how we talk and what we allow ourselves to think.

Wisdom Tooth

This song is about recognizing that I can surrender my worries and fears to love. To share the load, and let someone else steer for a while. This music is growing through love from others and myself, focus, discipline, and an open mind. My relationships are growing and getting stronger through communication and intention, sharing and vulnerability. To move forward, we have to remind ourselves - I have to remind myself - that "I can breathe easy/knowing I've got love on my side." It's scary having someone 'see' you. No more hiding, but the best part is the only way out is through and over yourself.  I specified "I'm human too" because love is not a matter of races or borders, of country or creed. We all need people, we need each other. 

I end with expressing my preference for the unassuming presentation with a 'diamond' inside than for superficiality and overly-done-up people, or those who try to hard to present something as one thing when it's not (i.e. glitter-covered shit...) Ultimately, cultivating gratitude in the face of self-centeredness, and pre-occupation. When we're thankful for what we have, we can focus on what we can give.

If The Shoe Fits

Hello and welcome! This track, "Routine of  Self-Expression," is essentially a letter to myself where I'm holding myself accountable and looking at my own habits. I acknowledged that I was engaging in more routines of self-SUPPRESSION than of self-EXPRESSION. On a personal note, in healing from depression, a large part of that, ive found is the ability to express myself how I choose. It's only one part of the mix but it is an important one. Recently I watched the presidential debate and much of the surrounding commentary about Trump's behavior, his ever-expanding detachment from reality, and disassociation with human decency, and his abuse of the Constitution, among others was enough to inspire this piece where I give Trump a piece of my mind haha. I had a good laugh writing this so please have a good laugh listening to it. If you're considering voting for Trump, however, maybe this song will remind you of a few things that are at stake here...

Leadership

I wrote this song as a reminder to anyone who needs to hear it: You are loved! I've struggled with depression in the past and now want to be more of an advocate for mental and emotional well being, as well as physical. This song is to those who are down, who may have forgotten their importance, or may feel lost and alone. At the end of this specific recording, there is a spoken message. I'll be honest and vulnerable here: I burst into tears almost the second I stopped recording the last verse. There are some things that could be better in this, but I chose to leave it as is specifically because it elicited such powerful emotions. I get it, not everyone will have that reaction... haha, most people probably won't but nonetheless, please enjoy - and remember in your heart and mind - "You Are Loved."

I titled this track "Patience" because it's exactly what I need to practice in order to play it haha. I've found immense peace in stitching together these melodies and immense joy in sharing them with you! I also stripped way down for this recording using just an SM57 infront of my Taylor 114ce. The chirping in the back ground is the local coqui frogs here in Hawaii. I used to not reecord becasuse of them but I like the vibe they set on some tracks, and hope you do too. Enjoy "Patience"
